This week, our girls wrestling state qualifiers have been selected as Athletes of the Week! Emily Price, Emma Tsaruk and Maelynn Sundlie all qualified for the state tournament after placing fourth in their weight class at Districts. They competed in Columbia at state on Feb. 23 and represented Ozark very well!

This week, OHS senior Jace Whatley has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Jace is a member of the boys varsity basketball team and recently wrapped up his senior season, according to Head Coach Mark Schweitzer.

"Congratulations to Jace on reaching the 1000 point milestone in our game vs Nixa on Feb. 23," Schweitzer said. "Jace has been a varsity starter since his sophomore year and has really put together an excellent career while representing Ozark on the hardwood."

This week, OHS junior Morgan Williams as been selected as our Artist of the Week! Morgan is a member of the Ozark varsity winter guard, and is an important member of the team, according to Winter Guard Coach Theresa Walls.

"Morgan has been a key member to our varsity winter guard this season," Walls said. "She brings so much strength and achievement to her performance. She has had a drive to help push the team to the next level these last few weeks of our season, and as a result helped the team place second at a festival in Kansas City."

This week, OHS sophomore Kaitlyn Houghton has been selected as our Tiger of the week! Kaitlyn is a current FFA officer for Ozark and contributes a lot to the group, according to FFA Sponsor Travis Phipps.

"In addition to being an officer she is a member of the dairy judging team, archery team leader, and is one of the most active FFA members," Phipps said. "She always has a smile on her face, and goes above and beyond on planning and recruiting students to come to our many FFA events. Kaitlyn always has a positive attitude and the Ozark FFA Chapter is better because she is in it."

Our winter guards traveled to Kansas City on March 2 for a contest and did extremely well. Varsity placed second in their division, JV took third place and the OJH team got a "good" rating. Congrats on a great start to the season!

Massive congrats to the Science Olympiad teams who recently competed at MSU in 23 events against 20 high school teams. Nine students medaled in seven events with six of those medals being first places! Congrats to the following students:
