Our annual Picture Day is this Wednesday, September 11th. All students are required to have a picture taken even if the family decides to not order pictures. Hey South! Pink Out is only one month away. What is Pink Out? Pink Out is our annual fundraiser for Grand View Hospital’s Breast Cancer Unit. In the weeks leading up to Pink Out we have t-shirts sales, flag football tournament and bake sales to raise money. We are the only middle school who does a big Pink Out Celebration. If you would like to order a 2024 Pink Out shirt, shirts are only available by pre-order. Shirt forms are due by September 11th and cost $10. They are adult sizes only. No youth sizes are available. Forms are available and can be turned in outside of room 112. This year’s Pink Out and Flag Football tournament are on 9/27. See Ms. Meneeley with any questions.

If you are looking to start the new school year off with some South spiritwear, here is the link to the order form. Payment must be attached to the order form and may be dropped off at the South MS main office. All orders must be submitted by Monday, September 16th. Don't miss out on some new South MS apparel.

Fall weather can be quite unpredictable. Games and practices can change at a moment's notice and football, field hockey, and soccer team members are welcome to use the main office telephone to call parents/guardians regarding schedule changes. Keep up with the fall sports schedules here.

Breakfast will be provided free of charge for all students for the 2024/25 school year. Lunch will be provided free of charge for our students who have signed up for the free/reduced lunch program for the 2024/25 school year. Families who qualify for free/reduced lunch must sign up for this program at the beginning of each school year. This record-keeping benefits the students at South in additional ways.

The Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club is happy to announce that Rachel's Closet is back again this year! The closet is a store of gently used clothing, coats, backpacks, shoes, workout gear, and more. Some clothing still has the tags on! We also offer personal items and toiletries. The best thing about it is that everything is free! Please encourage your child to shop with us. If you want to make a donation to the closet, you can drop off donations at South's main office lobby or purchase items from our Amazon Wish List. The RamPacks program provides a food pack of kid-friendly, non-perishable food intended for a child's breakfasts, lunches, and snacks over the weekends. RamPacks is a CONFIDENTIAL program for families who need assistance with food over weekends. RamPacks is a partnership between local churches, businesses, and community groups in the Pennridge area and the Pennridge School District. This is a FREE program, without cost to participating students but you must sign up to receive RamPacks. Please fill out this form or contact your child's guidance counselor (lrusso@pennridge.org or mdeflavis@pennridge.org) to sign-up for this program.

After-school Coding Club will be starting soon, but it is open enrollment at any time. All students are welcome, and no coding experience is necessary. Students are self-directed and learn or code in languages of their choosing. This year there will even be some robots to code! We meet every Tuesday after school. Stop by the Sellersville Museum on Saturday, September 14th or Sunday, September 15th to check out the Sellersville Schools showcase. There are some very interesting historical items from South MS on display so stop by and check it out.

GOLD PASS- Pennridge Community Residents 62 years of age or older can obtain a Gold Pass which will allow them into any home game (regular season) for free. These will be available at the gate of any game.
