Updates to our Campus
Front Office Changes
You will notice that we now have a doorbell outside the front office. Mrs. McVey, our clerk, will welcome you and ask how she can help you. After you respond, she will open the door for you. Please do not open the door for others. This is for safety of all. Thank you.
Covered Play Area Coming
This semester you will see and hear construction for our new Pavilion Area. This will be a shaded area for PE and will include basketball hoops, four square and hopscotch areas. We look forward to this area for our students!
PreK Car Loop
For safety, our Pineda St car loop gate will be open 7:30-8:00 in the morning and 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon. Please do not drop off students at the front of the school. (using the Cambridge Dr gate)
PreK students will be picked up and dropped off in the same car loop area as the older students. Teachers and instructional assistants will walk with students to be sure they get to their classrooms in the morning and to their cars in the afternoon. This is a change from years past. Please be patient as our little ones get into their cars and car seats. Thank you!
Car Tags: You must have a car loop tag in order to pick y our children up from the car loop. If you forget or lose it, please come in to the office for a replacement. Please understand this is for your children's safety.
Uniforms Every Day
Families, Students are expected to wear a school uniform every day unless we have a special occasion and it is listed in the newsletter. This is an expectation for our school. Thank you for reminding your student to wear uniforms (including appropriate footwear) daily. Please see the description and picture of acceptable school uniforms below.
Family Huddle
Huddle up with your kids and ask:
Huddle up with your kids and ask, “What are your goals for this school year and what strategies will help you meet them? What do you need from your family to support you?”
School/District Report Cards Parent Notification
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires that a Local Educational Agency prepare and disseminate an annual Local Educational Agency report card and provide information on state, local, and school performance and progress in an understandable and uniform format.
District and School grades provide an easily understandable way to measure the performance of a school. Parents and the public can use the grades and their components to understand how well each district and/or school is serving its students. District and school grades for the 2022-2023 school year serve as an Informational Baseline using the new assessment cut scores.
Use the links provided below to view either the 2022-2023 Brevard School District Report Card or Cambridge's School Report Card. If you would like a printed copy or need translation assistance, please notify the front office.
