The Marie Murphy Grading Practices Zoom is tonight!

When: Monday, May 19th at 6:00 PM

The meeting will last approximately 15 to 30 minutes. A Zoom link was sent to all 5th–8th grade families earlier today via email. I look forward to seeing you this evening!

Marie Murphy end-of-year school party

June 6th, 11:45am-2:50pm

Sign up to be a parent volunteer. Looking for 15 parent volunteers to help the day of the party to supervise and pass out pizza. Day-of parents are welcome to the pizza.

Sign up to bring in snacks for the party. PTC will provide pizza, popsicles, and ice cream sandwiches for the students.

PTC and school will have the gym set up, a movie set up indoors, and a DJ outside.

Feed My Starving Children volunteer opportunity with kids!

Sign up to fight hunger with your student as a whole Avoca School District Family! A group of Avoca families have been doing this yearly and decided to open it up to the whole district this time.
Read about Feed My Starving Children here. Students will be packing ready-to-eat meals that will be sent overseas to communities in need of food. It is a safe and fun way to have children learn about the world and the importance of food to nurture hope. Children will grow in compassion, empathy and teamwork - and have so much fun during the process! This event is available for children age 5 to adults who do not have serious health conditions. Adults need to attend with students.

Residency Verification for 2025–2026 School Year

As part of a new effort to streamline our registration process and ensure all required documents are on file, Avoca School District 37 will host two Residency Days for families who were not able to complete registration for their incoming Kindergarten, 3rd grade, or 6th grade students before June 24th.
