Zone Athletics
On Tuesday this week, 30 students from Years 5 and 6 represented the school at the Zone Athletics, held at Margaret Griffin Park. Whilst placing 4th overall, the students’ sportsmanship and encouragement of each other was one of the highlights for the day. I’d like to congratulate all of those that attended the event.
Sincere thanks to Karen Moore, Dom Reed, Lucy Gilbert, and Kevin Longley for their organisation of the day.
Band Performance
Tomorrow afternoon continues the celebration of students’ talents, but this time in the Arts. A band performance is scheduled for families and friends of students in the band. It is always heartwarming to watch our children pursue their passions. It is widely known that learning to play a musical instrument is linked to improved cognitive function between both sides of the brain, improved memory, fine motor skills, verbal reasoning and much more. Our thanks to Ben Holmes and his team for all their hard work with our students this year.
PTA Picnic
The End of Year PTA Picnic is on this Monday, Dec 2 and is an opportunity for our community to come together and connect with each other. Please join us on the field from 5 pm. Thanks to the PTA for organising this fun event.

Recycle your cans & support the Kai Ika Project!!
Since 2016 the Kai Ika Project has been transforming fish heads and frames into kai for whanau in South Auckland. With our Cans for Kai initiative, every aluminium can donated helps fund this mahi! Drop your cans into one of the new Cans for Kai recycling cages at Eden Park - one by the community garden on Walters Rd and one near the cricket nets on Sandringham Rd!
