The Bulldog Blast June 2024

East Hills Elementary School hosted its fifth-grade moving-up ceremony on Friday, June 14, 2024. Principal Sherry Ma and Assistant Principal Jennifer Sheehan presided over the noon ceremony, which was held in the Roslyn High School auditorium.

Harbor Hill Elementary School hosted its fifth-grade moving-up ceremony on Friday, June 14, 2024. Principal Michelle Hazen and Assistant Principal Justin Gabrus presided over the 9AM ceremony, which was held in the Roslyn High School auditorium.

Roslyn Middle School hosted their 8th grade graduation ceremony at Hofstra University on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 11AM. Two-hundred and fifty-two students entered the arena to “Pomp and Circumstance,” performed by the Roslyn Middle School Band, under the direction of Katherine DeMaria.

The Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) hosted its 2024 Awards Celebration inside the library of Roslyn High School on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. The breakfast ceremony is held each year to celebrate inspirational individuals who have made unique and meaningful contributions on behalf of Roslyn’s special education students and families. It was attended by administrators, faculty, and staff, and the family members of the award recipients.

Roslyn High School, with tremendous support from the Roslyn Bulldogs Boosters Association, hosted their first-ever Senior Athletic and Physical Education Awards Dinner on the evening of June 11, 2024. It was held in the high school cafeteria, which was transformed into a beautiful banquet hall, adorned in Roslyn blue. The event was attended by nearly 50 student athletes, along with their family members. Superintendent Allison Brown, Roslyn High School Assistant Principal Dave Lazarus, and members of the coaching staff were also present.

A group of twenty-six retiring faculty and staff were honored at the June 6, 2024, Roslyn Board of Education meeting for their years of service to the Roslyn School District. Each retiree was given a commemorative plaque. Roslyn School District granted tenure to eighteen teachers and administrators during a ceremony held inside the Roslyn High School library on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Superintendent Allison Brown and Board of Education President Meryl Waxman Ben-Levy hosted the intimate gathering, which included a line of administrators on hand to shake hands and congratulate the newly tenured staff. Families and friends of the honorees were also in attendance and enjoyed some light refreshments at the conclusion of the event.
