ACAP Scores Are Public
We were proud to recognized several of our seventh, eighth and ninth graders this week for their performance on the ACAP last Spring. We recognized and awarded students who scored 3's & 4s, highest scores, most improved scores, and the students who scored all 4's on the test (Jaci Valdez, Matthew Jackson, Jayden Weeks, and Jeremiah Wilson). Individual scores were sent home with students last week.
There were a lot of great lessons going on in our classrooms this week. We were proud to have Mr. Jose Acosta from Pilgrim's Pride come speak to our Jobs for Alabama Graduates program and Tanner Maddox speak to our Impact 4 Life program.
Congratulations to LeeAnn Moore on having the 2023-24 Yearbook dedicated to her. We did the dedication at the pep rally on Friday. We had an enthusiastic pep rally Friday afternoon. Members of our football team and our cheerleaders greeted elementary students has the came to school Friday morning.
Our football team came up short on Friday night against Hamilton, losing 55-40. There was a combined 1100 yards of total offense in the game. We host Vinemont Friday night for Senior Night.
Our volleyball team picked up big wins this week over Class 7A Florence and Class 6A Mae Jemison and came up just short against Class 5A Russellville. We also had wins over Hackleburg and Phillips while dropping games to Lauderdale County and Shoals Christian.
Our Cross Country team ran in the Pepsi Challenge in Moulton on Saturday with Avery Wells earning Elite Runner status. She ran the 2-mile run in 16:03.91.
Tuesday will mark the middle of the first nine weeks of school. Progress reports will go out this week too.
