PROGRAMS AND FELLOWSHIPS
Duke PreLaw Fellowship Program
The Duke PreLaw Fellowship Program is a four-week residential program running from June 1 – June 27, 2025, designed to introduce rising college sophomores and juniors to the study of law and the legal profession. This program is open to 24 students who demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing law school and are eager to engage in coursework and preparation for legal education. While the program primarily encourages applications from students attending colleges and universities in the Southeast U.S., students from other regions are welcome to apply. The program particularly welcomes applicants from historically underrepresented communities in the legal profession, including first-generation college students, those from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, and students enrolled in Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs).
The application deadline is March 3, 2025, with supporting letters of recommendation accepted until March 10, 2025. Finalists may be invited for interviews, and the program will be selected based on a holistic review of applicants' academic promise, volunteer/work experience, and commitment to advancing equal justice in society.

Lex Legal Immersion Program
Are you looking for a unique and impactful experience? Look no further than Lex Legal Immersion!
The Lex Legal Immersion program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical legal exposure in an international setting, helping to build skills and experience that stand out on law school applications.
What is Lex Legal Immersion? The Lex program provides students with the chance to rotate through different law firms each day, experiencing a variety of legal fields and cases, all under the guidance of professionals with a U.S. JD background. Participants can take part in single or multi-city programs abroad, specifically tailored for pre-law students.

- Diverse Legal Experience: Work across different practice areas and gain insight into the life of a lawyer.

The Lex Legal Immersion program makes it easier by providing hands-on, meaningful experiences that not only help students develop essential legal skills but also give them the freedom to focus on academics during the semester.

Harvard Law School’s Future Leaders in Law Program - Application Now Open!
The Future Leaders in Law Program at Harvard Law School, in partnership with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, is a yearlong initiative designed to empower and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds to pursue careers in law. This fully funded program includes a weeklong residency at Harvard Law School, LSAT preparation, mentorship, and empowerment seminars, all designed to prepare participants for law school and beyond. The program is open to undergraduate students graduating in 2025 or 2026, as well as recent graduates from 2022-2024, with a minimum 3.3 GPA. Participants will receive a $3,000 stipend upon successful completion and full coverage for transportation, lodging, and law school application expenses.
Key dates include the application deadline of March 12, 2025, and the Summer Residency at Harvard Law and Paul, Weiss from June 22-29, 2025. Additionally, participants will take part in an LSAT preparation bootcamp from July 9-20, 2025. All majors are encouraged to apply, and the program is independent of the Harvard Law School J.D. Admissions process.

ASCEND Pre-Law Summer Institute
The ASCEND Pre-Law Summer Institute at USC Gould School of Law is a fully funded, immersive three-week program designed for rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Taking place from July 21 to August 9, 2025, this unique experience offers students personalized support, professional LSAT prep, and access to a range of legal resources, including site visits to law firms and courts. Participants also receive a $500 stipend for LSAT registration expenses upon completion. The program is fully residential and covers room and board for all admitted students. Applications open on February 1, 2025, and the deadline to apply is March 31, 2025. This is a great opportunity for pre-law students to gain hands-on legal experience and prepare for the law school application process.

The BU Summer Pre-Law Academy (BU-SPLA)
The BU Summer Pre-Law Academy (BU-SPLA) is a fully funded, four-week residential program running from June 3 to June 27, 2025. The program is designed to support underrepresented students by introducing them to legal cases, advocacy, and critical race theory. Participants will experience the Socratic classroom, engage in case briefings, and collaborate on client representation, while also receiving LSAT prep and guidance on the law school admissions process, including personal statement and resume development. The program covers travel to Boston, housing, meals, and includes a $1500 stipend upon completion. Applications are open until March 14, 2025, with selected students notified in early April. Columbia Law School LEAD Fellowship Program – Information Session
Interested in the Columbia Law School LEAD Fellowship Program? Join us for an upcoming information session to learn more about this unique deferred admissions opportunity.
Date: Tuesday, March 4, 2025

The LEAD Fellowship Program allows qualified applicants to gain admission to Columbia Law School after their junior or senior year of college, with a two-year deferral period to gain full-time professional experience, engage in a venture or fellowship, or pursue graduate studies. Some applicants may even be eligible for a funding grant to support their projects during the deferral period.

Johns Hopkins Undergraduate Debate Council
The JHU Debate Council (JHUDC) practices college parliamentary debate in both American and British formats, offering members the chance to compete in tournaments and enhance their public speaking skills. We provide team-wide practices and host social events for all members.

Mock Trial at Johns Hopkins University
Dive into the exciting world of Mock Trial, where competitive acting meets the law! Each summer, the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) releases a 120-page case packet filled with affidavits, expert reports, and evidence that serves as the foundation for the year's competition.
In Mock Trial, you'll participate in realistic trial simulations, taking on roles as lawyers and witnesses. Teams consist of three lawyers and three witnesses, presenting opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, and closing arguments. Tournaments typically feature four rounds over a weekend, allowing you to compete on both sides of the case.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your public speaking, critical thinking, and advocacy skills while engaging with a supportive team. Join and experience the thrill of the courtroom!
Johns Hopkins Model United Nations Team
Johns Hopkins Undergraduate Law Review
The Johns Hopkins Undergraduate Law Review (JHULR) is committed to amplifying young voices and providing accessible, informed legal analysis. Comprised of undergraduate students from various disciplines, the diverse team reflects the wide-ranging interests and viewpoints of the Hopkins community and beyond.
JHULR features two main components: an online platform that publishes articles regularly and an annual print journal released each spring. The Law Review aims to foster dialogue on both pressing legal issues and underexplored topics. They invite all interested individuals to contribute by submitting pieces to JHULR Online, helping to shape thoughtful discussions about the law.
