Winter Break begins Monday, December 23rd. Here is a bit of information for you to have handy as the New Year begins and the first semester of classes wraps up.

The Ford Family Scholarship opened on December 1st. This is an amazing opportunity for our SHS seniors. This application helps students who may have financial need as well as students that have overcome challenges and obstacles in life and are now hoping to attend college. This is a scholarship of up to $40,000 a year and is renewable. We have had quite a few SHS alumni win this in the past! Click here to find more information or to apply.

Lets get those pictures in! Friday, December 20th is the last day to submit your senior photo for the yearbook. Click here to submit your photo.

Have you applied to college? Are you undecided? Are you just dragging your feet (procrastinating)? College deadlines are quickly approaching. If you're not sure where you want to go, we suggest you apply to all the colleges you are considering. The Common App is a great way to apply to multiple colleges with one application. University of Oregon - January 15th, 2025

Oregon State University - February 3rd, 2025

Western Oregon University - January 15th, 2025 (Fall Priority Deadline)

George Fox University - February 1st, 2025

Willamette University - January 15th, 2025

Linfield University - February 1st, 2025

As we look forward to graduation (yay!!) we know we have an amazing class of seniors. There are a few students in the running for Valedictorian this year. All valedictorians will be given the opportunity to speak at graduation. If there are multiple valedictorians and more than one is interested in speaking, the speech will be done as a group. SHS is looking forward to a fantastic celebration of the class of 2025's graduation ceremony!
