WPR Preschool 2024/2025 School Year
Preschool registration is open for the 2024/2025 school year! Limited spots available! More information and required paperwork can be found on our WPR Preschool website for our 3 year old and 4 year old programs!
WPR Child Watch
Have children and feel you can’t work out after work?? Now you can drop them off and check out our WPR Child Watch! Our weekday hours are 3:45 - 7:45pm. Saturdays we are open from 8am - 12pm and Sundays we are open from 10am - 2pm (Starting October 6). Membership and reservation through our signup system is required. Reserve your spot today!
Brick Garden
WPR is creating a brick garden in front of the Recreation Center. The first round of bricks have been installed.If you missed ordering in May, the next order will be placed January 1. Order bricks here!
Celebrate With Us!
All teens can come enjoy a night out on Friday, October 18 from 5 - 9pm at Widefield Parks & Recreation. We will provide fun, games, arts & crafts, resources, and dinner! Ages: 7th - 12th grade. Fee: FREE. Register by October 17.
Fall Fun Day Picnic
Join us for our FREE Fall Fun Day Picnic on green field! Enjoy numerous activities that are fun for the whole family! Experience a picnic while playing Bingo, water balloon games, a circuit race, chalk art, and more! The first 250 to arrive receive a FREE picnic lunch.
Trunk or Treat
Dress in your best Halloween costume and join us for Trunk or Treat hosted by the Pool Staff!
The spooky festivities will take place in the south parking lot of the Recreation Center on October 26 from 12pm to 1pm. We will see you there!
Cook With Us!
Learn how to safely water bath can your food to preserve them. Preserving foods for your pantry is a great way to stock up for your family and extend the bounty of your garden harvest or save your bulk purchases from spoiling. Everyone will walk away with one preserved jar of goods. Date: Monday, October 21 @ 5 - 7pm. Fee: $30. Ages: 16+. Register by October 14!

Painting P-art-y - Cute Ghost Family Painting
This adult painting class is for beginners and seasoned painters alike. You will be taken step by step through a cute ghost family painting to take home and enjoy. Learn about mixing techniques and layering effects, no previous knowledge is necessary. Our art instructor directs you through the painting process to help bring out your inner artist. Everyone will walk away with a painting. No need to bring anything with you, except your creativity!
Date: Wednesday, October 23 @ 6:30 - 8:30pm. Fee: $25. Ages: 16+. Register by October 21!
This art class will be all about yarn! Come see for yourself, if you don’t be-weave me!! We will each create our own homemade loom and various yarn-tastic creations. All supplies will be provided for you, unless there is special colored yarn you’d like to bring for your own unique project. Date: Friday, October 25 @ 1 - 2:30pm. Fee: $25. Ages: 6-13. Register by October 22.

Drop-In Basketball, Pickleball, or Volleyball
The Recreation Center has designated “Drop-in” times to play Basketball, Pickleball, and/or Volleyball. During those times, areas are reserved and set up for this specific sport play, however, during “Open Gym” anyone who has paid for entry into the Recreation Center may use the gym and request it be set up for their desired activity. We post a Weekly Gymnasium Schedule on the Recreation Center page of our website so you can stay in tune to when the space is available.
Time to get your volleyball on! Our annual COED Trick-or-Tourney in October and COED Turkey Tourney in November are open for registration now - register your team by October 6 and October 27 respectively. Only $150 per team with a 3-game guarantee. Winners take home holiday-themed prizes!
Adult Indoor Volleyball League
Get your team together for our Adult Indoor Volleyball League this winter! Compete in 8 games from January 21 to March 18 for just $180 per team. Don't wait - registration closes on January 5! COED recreational league with self-officiated games.
Dive into the fundamentals of the fastest growing sport in America with our 2-day lessons for just $40! Sounds like a great dill! Choose from our beginner or intermediate lessons and take your skills to the next level. Visit our website’s pickleball page for the full list of session dates. Great minds dink alike!
It’s time to grab your teammate and register for our Monday morning pickleball league beginning on November 6! For just $30 per player, you’ll compete in 12 exciting matches. Don’t wait - the registration deadline is October 20.
Registration is also now open for our Winter Sunday doubles league and Monday morning doubles league starting in January.
CARA Basketball Skills Challenge
The Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) invites all youth ages 6 to 13 to compete in the CARA Basketball Skills Challenge! Test your skills in dribbling, passing, and shooting with no fee to participate and no special equipment needed.
Join us on January 9 at 5:30pm at the WPR Rec Center for the local competition to compete for a chance to advance to a sectional event and, potentially, the state championship! FREE event, please pre-register online!
Basketball Skill Development Camp
Register for a basketball camp at WPR for skill development opportunities through drills, games, and instruction. Boys and girls camps for 6th, 7th, & 8th graders will take place at the Recreation Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays October 22 - 31. Register by October 17. Fee: $30.
Boys and girls camps for kindergarten through 5th grade will take place Wednesday, December 4, Thursday, December 5, Tuesday, December 10, and Thursday, December 12. Registration for these camps is $20 and ends November 24.
Youth Basketball League
This league is a great opportunity to learn and develop fundamental basketball skills in a fun environment with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.
For Kindergarten through 5th graders.
The games will take place from January 25 to March 15.
Register by December 29. Fee: $50 (7 games)
Youth Volleyball League
This league is a great opportunity to learn and develop fundamental volleyball skills in a fun environment with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.
For 6th-8th graders.
The games will take place from February 1 to March 8.
Register by January 5. Fee: $40 (5 games, tournament format)
Youth Pickleball Lessons
Learn the fundamentals of pickleball from our experienced instructors! Lessons will be held at the WPR Recreation Center on Monday & Tuesday, January 6 & 7 from 9 - 10:30am. No equipment is necessary!
For 2nd-5th graders.
Register by January 1. Fee: $40
Tiny Tykes Soccer
A FUNdamental program that teaches basic soccer skills while focusing on motor skill development, balance, coordination, concentration, listening skills, and teamwork of players ages 2-5. Sessions run Saturdays October 25 - December 7 and Saturdays from January 25 - March 1 at Watson Jr. High.

Personal Training
Book our new one-on-one personalized Personal Training sessions (1-hour sessions). We have 5 different packages you can choose from starting at $188 for once a week sessions for one month. See our registration page for full pricing details.
We also offer a one time, free 30-minute Personal Training session where you can meet one of our personal trainers, discuss training methods, your goals, previous experience and any questions you may have! Register online now!
We now offer a small group package (2-3 people) for a total of $260. This package allows a small group to workout together with one of our Personal Trainers, once a week for four weeks. Workout with friends and save money!
Get Certified With Us!
Blended Learning CPR & First Aid
This is a blended learning course that includes an online portion (approximately 4 hours) and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Each participant must have a unique email address to obtain credit for the course. Please do not use the same email address for multiple registrations. Date: Saturday, October 19 @ 11am - 1pm. Ages: 11+ Fee: $75. Register by October 10.
