BES Principal Newsletter
November 15th, 2024
Hello BES families,
Parent/Teacher conferences are right around the corner. Please sign up for a slot to come chat with your student's teacher about their academic, social and emotional progress so far this year. Please be sure to be on time and allow the teachers to stay on schedule as they also need to get home to their families each night. Our BOOK FAIR will be open during conferences. It takes place in the room 9. The fair will be open for shopping during conferences from 5-8 pm. If you have some time to spare, we'd love to have you volunteer as a cashier at our fair. Please contact Mrs. Darci Williams or myself if you can volunteer and thank you in advance!
The 5th Grade Student Council Coupon Book sale is still going. The event closes on 11.15.24. Click here to order coupon books and remember you can select coupon books for other areas around Michigan and beyond and SavAround will ship direct to anywhere in the USA!
Educationally Yours,
Mrs. Johnson
BES is THANKFUL for YOU!
As we prepare to take time off from school for the Thanksgiving break (11/27-11/29), we are grateful for everyone who has helped to restore a routine for showing up to school while supporting students and families.
Daily routines are essential for reducing stress and creating a sense of security for students and adults.
Please take steps to keep your child healthy and send them to school unless they are truly sick. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as connect to peers and their teachers.
We thank:
· Our students and their families who do their best to show up to class every day even when it isn’t easy.
· Our teachers who have gone above and beyond to help make school a welcoming learning environment where students can thrive.
· Our administrators who help us work together to ensure we are healthy and safe, feel a sense of community and experience the excitement of an engaging learning environment.
· Our many, many healers and helpers - the support staff and community volunteers who provide the extra hands and attention our children need.
May these days off be restful and healing.
● If your family or your child needs support, please reach out to our office for help.
● We look forward to seeing you again when school resumes on Monday, Dec. 2nd!
Thank you for partnering with us!
