Dear Bobcat Families,
Happy February! This month is packed with opportunities to celebrate, learn, and grow together as a school community. With the school year in full swing, it’s a joy to see the enthusiasm and hard work our students bring to their learning every day.
February is a month of recognition and celebration! We are excited to honor Black History Month, an important time to learn about and celebrate the contributions of Black leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Throughout the month, students will engage in lessons and activities that promote understanding, inclusion, and respect.
We are also looking forward to Valentine's Day! Classroom celebrations will focus on kindness and friendship. Please remember to follow the guidelines outlined below.
This month, we’ll host our second round of Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 27, 2025. These conferences are a valuable time to connect with your child’s teacher, review progress, and discuss goals for the remainder of the year. Look for sign-up details in your child’s folder or via email.
As February continues to bring chilly temperatures, we encourage students to come to school dressed for outdoor play, including warm coats, gloves, and hats. Whenever possible, we’ll enjoy fresh air during recess! In the event of inclement weather, updates regarding delays or closures will be shared via Parent Square.
As always, thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students. Your involvement makes such a difference in their success and in creating a vibrant school community.
Wishing you a month filled with warmth, learning, and connection!

Attendance Matters...and is rewarded!
We all know how important it is to be in school every day! Here at Bridgeview School we have made it a mission to address chronic absenteeism. One way we are doing that is by celebrating our students who are demonstrating awesome attendance. Mrs. Nasser's 1st grade class was one of our winners of the Quarterly Grade Level contest. They received a craft class!
Bridgeview Bobcat Behavior Assembly
On January 23 and 24, the students at Bridgeview participated in Kahoot and Jeopardy games with their classmates. The questions tested their knowledge on the behavior expectations here at school. These Kindergarteners did a fantastic job!
Double Good Popcorn
Double Good, a fundraising organization based in Burr Ridge, donated 72 bags of their delicious popcorn to the staff at Bridgeview School. Staff members enjoyed the variety of choices at a recent faculty meeting. Thank you, Double Good!
Hello Bobcat Families!
Following procedures from last year, we have an online form for attendance reporting. While guardians will still be able to call in, we are also offering an attendance form for families to submit attendance digitally. If your student will be absent, please use this Attendance Reporting Form or call us at 708-496-8713 to report the absence.
Thank you!

Does Your Child Have a Cell Phone at School?
Is Your Child Celebrating a Birthay?
If your child has a birthday during the school year and you would like to recognize the special day, please think about sending non-edible items such as pencils, stickers, erasers, etc.
For Our Bus Riders
All lunch menus will be shared weekly by the district on Parent Square.
Don't Be Late!
8:10AM 1st Bell
8:15AM Tardy Bell
2:30PM School Dismissed
All students arriving late to school (after 8:15AM) must report to the office for a tardy slip. Every 5th tardy a note will be sent home. Continuous tardiness may constitute other disciplinary consequences. Our goal is for all students to arrive at school on time each day. When students are late, they miss instructional opportunities. Please keep in mind that students arriving after 9:15AM are no longer considered tardy, but will instead receive a half day absence.
Being late is detrimental to all students' learning, especially if it occurs on a consistent basis. Be sure to do all you can to prevent tardiness. Your child will thank you for it!
