Dear Farnham Families,
This week and next week, we are excited to participate in The Great Kindness Challenge! Our school is embracing the spirit of kindness by spreading positivity across campus in meaningful ways.
Students will engage in activities such as:
🌟 Writing notes of appreciation to teachers, staff, and classmates.
🌟 Sharing positive messages to brighten someone’s day.
🌟 Giving heartfelt compliments to uplift one another.
We invite you to join the celebration by having conversations at home about how your family can spread kindness in your daily lives. Consider brainstorming simple yet meaningful acts of kindness you can do together—whether it’s helping a neighbor, expressing gratitude to a family member, or creating a “kindness jar” filled with ideas to try throughout the week.
In addition to celebrating kindness, our teachers are collaborating this Thursday and Friday in PLC grade-level meetings to analyze the most recent academic screeners. During this time, they will identify next steps to best support our students’ learning and ensure every child continues to thrive academically.
Together, let’s create a ripple effect of kindness that starts on our campus and radiates throughout our community. Thank you for your support in making Farnham a place filled with care, connection, and academic excellence!

A NOTE FROM YOUR HSC BOARD:
We hope all our fabulous Farnham families enjoyed the long weekend. We have quite a few upcoming events so please check our Instagram page and the board out front for updates and information. - Our first movie night of the year is coming up on Friday, January 31, at 5:30pm and we will be showing Wild Robot. See attached flyer for more information.
- Join us for our Sweetheart Dance on Friday, February 7, at 5:30pm in the cafeteria. Join us for an evening of food, activities and dancing. Tickets on sale now. See attached flyer for more information.
- Save the Date! Our second annual “Night on the Town” fundraising event for Parents & Friends is happening Saturday, March 22 from 5-8 pm at Number 1 Broadway in Los Gatos. Join us for a lively evening with dinner, drinks, music, raffles, silent auction and more! Stay tuned for early bird ticket information coming next week (all adults in the Farnham community are welcome).

- Love to plan events, decorate, come up with fun games, or just want to help put together our largest fundraiser of the year? The Walkathon Committee will be meeting in person on February 5 at 6pm in the Farnham library. Help us bring our "Just Keep Walking" theme to life!
- Farnham Families, we need your help to complete the yearbook. Do you have photos from the first day of school and back to school social? Pumpkin Walk fun? The Board of Trustees has scheduled its Board Office Hours for the upcoming year. All staff, parents, and community members are welcome to attend regardless of what site the meeting is held at. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some of our Board members and ask any questions you might have.

Cambrian School District is pleased to offer all students complimentary snack at morning recess and lunch meals at lunch recess. Meals will be available for pickup in the cafeteria during scheduled meal periods. Please consider taking advantage of our FREE school meals by clicking here and signing up. It extends your grocery budget, saves time planning and preparing meals, and is comforting and familiar for kids to have school meals. In addition, every meal served is reimbursed by the USDA and funds go toward Child Nutrition staff wages. Please note that you are not taking food away from someone who needs it more – we have plenty to go around!
