LV Primary Parent News
September 11, 2024
Dear Primary Parents,
This week we celebrated a school wide challenge with a dance party! We had so much fun watching the students dance (wow, we've got some talented dancers out there!). Beary, our Campus Mascot visited the hallways! A great time was had by all. Our next challenge is to fill 10 sticker charts and we will have a marker party!
Our school hours are 7:25-3:40. Our car line opens at 6:45am daily. Student attendance is taken at 9:30 am daily, please keep this in mind when making appointments. A student must be here at 9:30 am to be counted present for the day. A student may only miss 15 school days total for the year (excused or unexcused.)
Thank you,
Mrs. Keck

Parent Behavior Tip of the Week
Focus: A Path to Balanced Parenting
Parenting is a journey filled with challenges, joys, and endless learning opportunities. One key aspect that can significantly impact your child’s development is the style of parenting you choose to adopt. This month, we will explore various parenting styles, their effects on children, and offer tips on how to adapt your approach to best support your child’s growth and development.
What is Authoritative Parenting?
Authoritative parents are known for their balanced approach. They set clear expectations and rules but are also responsive and supportive. They encourage open communication and allow children to express their opinions while maintaining structure and consistency.
Benefits: Children raised with authoritative parenting tend to be more confident, socially adept, and self-reliant. They often perform better academically and have healthier emotional regulation.
Tip: Foster open dialogue with your child and be firm but fair in your discipline. Encourage independence while providing guidance.
