Ms. Schneider's Monthly Newsletter, October 2024
📚Monthly Note from Principal
Hello all Parents and Caregivers,
October is an exciting time of the year. Chills are in the air, leaves are falling, pumpkins are everywhere, and our students are thinking about what costumes they'll soon wear. We have had a fantastic month and a half filled with some critical thinking classroom activities, field trips, celebrations such as Homecoming dress up days and events to show Bomber Pride, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) activities, as well as a new program called Nourish implemented K-5. I'm hopeful that both you and your children are feeling that classroom procedures and daily activities have become more familiar and comfortable.
As you know, we've recently sent home the Spring, 2024, Individual Student Reports (ISR) from the Wisconsin Forward Exam. This standardized achievement exam was designed to assess (grades 3 and up) on what students know in relation to the Wisconsin Academic Standards. It's important to understand this is just one of the many measures which shows you a snapshot of your child's strengths and areas for growth. Over the next month or two, the state will also release public district and school report card information as well which we will link to our Kohler District Website at that time.
As always, I want you to know how much joy your child/ren bring our staff as we teach and stretch their academic knowledge and skills beyond. We're so fortunate to constantly partner with you regarding your child/ren's education. Please check out some great pictures from our first month of school below.
