Learning
After the 3rd week of school, we are diving into content in all subject areas. Curious about what your student is learning? Our District Curriculum platform, Rubicon Atlas is publicly accessible and provides curriculum maps of the Units of Study for every course. Our expert educators ensure that all NJ Learning Standards are delivered to students in each subject and incorporate student choice and diverse perspectives in their lessons and activities.
Also don't forget to check and see if your student is using their Beck Student Planner. This is a great communication tool for you and your student's teachers.
Leading
Student Government Association (SGA) has begun the election process with interested students filling out the application for acceptance and submitting a FlipGrid video for the election. All information was provided to students in Advisory. Any student in need of assistance should speak with their Advisory Teacher or Grade Level Counselor. All applications and FlipGrid videos are due by end of day on Wednesday, September 24.
This year, Beck SGA will join the NJ Association of Student Council organization and be mentored by the East SGA. Our advisors, Mr. Packer and Ms. Malkinski are eager to work with on leadership skills with the Beck students.
PBIS Rewards Parent/Guardian Logins
Parents: PBIS logins were sent to parents last week. If you are unable to access the online PBIS Rewards System, please contact Ms. Sims at nsims@chclc.org.
Afterschool Activities & Late Buses
All students taking late buses are dismissed from their club or sport at 4:25pm. Late buses leave Beck around 4:35pm. It can sometimes take up to 1 hour for the late bus to complete their run.
Please be sure to check in with your child about how they are getting home from school after a sport, club or activity.

School Meal Applications are available for the 2024-2025 school year. Why Fill Out a Meal Application?
The eligibility guidelines for the 2024-2025 school year have expanded! Qualification details are available in English and Spanish.

- You may qualify for additional perks like internet discounts, waived sports fees, and more.
- Your information is confidential.
Important Reminders:
- A new application is required every year, even if your child received free/reduced meals last year.
- Only one application per household is needed; include all students.
- Breakfast is available daily at all locations.
- This is a Federal meal application—list all household members, including deployed military.
- If your child receives free meals, you may qualify for Internet Essentials from Comcast.
Submit your application by October 15 to avoid your child's status changing to full pay.

Yearbook Sale
Yearbooks are already on sale! They cost $40.00 each and can be purchased online. Parents/Guardians will receive reminder emails periodically. 8th grade parents will be sent email reminders about purchasing an ad for their child to be included in the yearbook.
