STAFF SPOTLIGHT - MRS. KRYSTAL COCHRAN
My name is Krystal Cochran, and I am the new Administrative Assistant of Teacher Education in the College of Education and Professional Studies. I started my career at Jacksonville State University in January 2024. My previous employment experience includes working in the medical field for 10 years and retail management and support for 13 years.
I have been married to my husband, Blake, for 17 years and we have two children, Cole (15) and Kynley (8). We also have two dogs, a chocolate lab named Herschel Walker and an English bulldog named Nick Chubb. When I am not at work, you can find me sitting in the stands or on the sidelines of a football field, basketball court, softball field, or baseball field, supporting my children do what they love! In my free time, I enjoy traveling, antique and thrift store shopping, and spending time with loved ones.
I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work at JSU and look forward to many years of service here! I cannot think of a better place to call “home” than the Friendliest Campus in the South.
CTEPS Student, Trey Landman, Named FCS Ambassador
CONGRATULATIONS, TREY LANDMAN!
Congratulations to the First Class of FCS Ambassadors!
The Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Division is excited to announce the first inaugural class of FCS Ambassadors. The FCS Ambassador Program, #InspireFCSEd, engages junior and senior college-level students currently seeking a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education as ambassadors and aims to equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to advocate for, elevate the importance of, and recruit students to become Family and Consumer Sciences educators. The ambassadors will connect with middle and high school students in FCS programs across the United States, as well as students on their home campuses, to spread the word about becoming a FCS teacher at the secondary level. Congratulations to all 10 FCS Ambassadors!
