This month Argyle ISD is celebrating its seven AMAZING campus Principals across the district! AISD's Principals are exceptional and experienced leaders committed to building inspiring educational environments for our Eagles! We are grateful for their service to our students and staff! They motivate and grow our teachers and staff. This month, please take a moment and thank a Principal on social media or send an email or say hi to them on campus!
We recently had THE AMAZING RACE ARGYLE photoshoot for the district magazine with our Prinicpals and retired Command Sergeant Major Gretchen Evans. She is a Silver Eagle and proud Argyle ISD resident. Our campus leaders have been inspired and encouraged by Sgt. Major Evans!

π’ Voter Registration Deadline MONDAY, OCTOBER 7!
Are You Registered to Vote?
The deadline to register to vote is MONDAY, OCTOBER 7. CLICK HERE to get registered in time to vote in the NOVEMBER 5 Election.
Included on the November 5 ballot is the Argyle ISD School Funding Referendum. If approved, AISD would retain $2.5 million in funding to impact teacher and staff pay raises, classroom sizes and program opportunities.

β Join Us! Coffee Talk with Dr. Carpenter Friday!
Argyle ISD will host four COFFEE WITH DR. CARPENTER events in the coming weeks. Come chat with Dr. Carpenter and enjoy a conversation about Argyle ISD and free coffee at one of these come-and-go events. She will discuss the School Funding Referendum and answer questions.
The first one will be held at 9:30 a.m. on FRIDAY, OCT. 4 at the Canyon Falls Clubhouse (located at 6950 Canyon Falls Drive).

π Get Informed about the School Funding Referendum!
Argyle ISD invites community members to attend one of the informative School Funding Referendum presentations led by Superintendent Dr. Courtney Carpenter and CFO Liz Stewart.
These sessions will focus on the upcoming November 5, 2024 School Funding Referendum (VATRE), which addresses crucial issues like growing class sizes, teacher and staff pay raises, and the overall impact on the districtβs future.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, share thoughts, and gain a clearer understanding of how the referendum could help retain $2.5 million for budget priorities.

Fall Break Coming Soon!
Argyle ISD students will be out of school Friday, Oct. 11 and Oct. 14-16 for a fall holiday break. All students will return for regular class schedules on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Argyle ISD teachers and staff will have a workday and professional development time on Friday, Oct. 11 and Wednesday, Oct. 16. ALL staff and students will be off on Oct. 14-15.

We've got a can't miss event happening tonight for Argyle West Elementary parents! Time to go camping because it's Camp Lots-O-Fun at Math & Literacy Night from 6-7:30 p.m. tonight at AWE. Come discover the magic of math and reading on this fun family night.
There might be a special appearance happening tonight by a mystery reader!

The Argyle High School Theatre Department presents Camp Half-Blood Day Camp. The camp will be held at the AHS Auditorium and is $35. It will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Argyle Band Competing Saturday in Bands of America!
The Argyle Eagle Band will be in action on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Bands of America Bedford Regional at Pennington Field.
Argyle will debut its production "A Pictures Worth" to the Bands of America circuit. The Eagle Band will leave after their halftime performance on Friday at Everman to prepare for an early call time on Saturday.
The prelims start at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
Game Day Spirit Sales!
The Argyle High School Cheerleaders will be at all the elementary campuses on Thursday, Oct. 10 selling ribbons and pins before school.
Ribbons are $2 and Pins are $3 -- cash or Paypal.

Dr. Carpenter Speaks at Argyle Business Breakfast
This week Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Courtney Carpenter was a special guest speaker at the Argyle Business Breakfast. The event was hosted by Point Bank in Argyle and Dr. Carpenter provided a state of the district update and shared her from the Employee Convocation Kickoff.

Argyle Band Torchy's Fundraiser - October 8
Come out and support the Argyle Band Boosters at Torchy's Tacos on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 4-8 p.m. Torchy's is located at 222 W. University in Denton. The band will receive 15% of purchase proceeds.

π TENNIS DISTRICT CHAMPS!
The Argyle Eagles tennis team completed its run to the district championship on Tuesday with a victory against Birdville. Argyle defeated Birdville 19-0 and finished undefeated in district and are now 14-1 overall this fall.
Argyle will now head to the playoffs! The Eagles will play Azle on Monday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. at Argyle High School.
π ON THE ROAD: Eagles Face Everman Friday
The Argyle Eagle football team is on the road Friday night. Argyle faces Everman at 7 p.m.
Argyle is coming off a big 42-35 victory against Colleyville Heritage in a battle of district title contenders. The Eagles are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in district. Everman is 1-4 overall and 1-2 in district and fell last week at Mansfield Timberview 47-21.

Lady Eagle Volleyball Battles Birdville Friday
The Argyle Lady Eagle volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 sweep on Tuesday vs. Denton Ryan. They will aim for a perfect week Friday night when they host Birdville at Argyle High School at 6 p.m.
Argyle is 25-5 overall and ranked No. 5 in Class 5A by the Texas High School Girls Coaches Association.

Most Driven Award: Eagle Football Player Weston Chaney!
Big congrats to Eagle football player Weston Chaney! He received the Most Driven Scholar Athlete award before last week's game against Colleyville Heritage. He received a $1,000 scholarship check from Dave Campbell's Football and Higginbotham.

Denton County ESD #1 Hosting Community Vaccine Clinic
Denton County ESD #1 is hosting a Community Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station 511. The station is located at 511 Gibbons Rd. in Argyle.

Mean Green Monster Mash - October 9
Join UNT for a spooktacular evening at the annual Mean Green Monster Mash, hosted by the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Indoor Practice Facility (1307 Bonnie Brae Street, Denton, TX 76207).
This fun, family-friendly event is the perfect chance to meet the Mean Green student-athletes while enjoying games, activities, and plenty of treats. Itβs a great way to connect with the community and create lasting memories! Check out the flyer for more details.
