Middle School Summer Update for Families
Dear Middle School Ranger Families,
We hope this letter finds you well and enjoying a wonderful summer break! As we soak in the sun and create lasting memories with our loved ones, it’s also a great time to start thinking about the upcoming school year.
First and foremost, we encourage each of you to take full advantage of this summer break. Whether it’s exploring new places, diving into a good book, or simply relaxing with friends and family, these moments are precious and essential for rejuvenation.
At the same time, it’s never too early to begin preparing for the academic challenges that lie ahead. Here are a few suggestions to help make the transition into the new school year as smooth as possible:
Read Regularly: Encourage your child to read regularly over the summer. Whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, or articles online, reading helps maintain and improve literacy skills.
Practice Math Skills: Keeping up with math can be as simple as incorporating daily math problems into everyday activities. Websites and apps can also provide interactive math practice.
Stay Organized: Start thinking about organizational strategies that work best for your child. This could include setting up a dedicated study space at home or using a planner to keep track of assignments and important dates.
Get Involved: Look for opportunities to engage in community activities or summer programs that align with your child’s interests. This helps foster personal growth and keeps them motivated.
Prepare Mentally: Talk positively about the upcoming school year. Address any concerns your child may have and emphasize the exciting opportunities that await them.
As we approach the start of the new school year, we are committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment where your child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Please stay tuned for more information regarding back-to-school events and procedures as we get closer to the first day.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Enjoy the rest of your summer break, and we look forward to seeing you and your child ready to embark on another successful school year!
Warm regards,
Mr. Endres
HMS Principal
Ms. Coalter
