Week 14 of the School Year is Here!

As we dive into the excitement of Week 14, we’ve got some important events and opportunities coming your way at Eastside High School that you won’t want to miss!

Senior Panorama Photo – Friday, November 15th at 8:45 AM

Attention all seniors: The highly anticipated Senior Panorama Photo will take place on Friday morning, November 15th, at 8:45 AM in the stadium. Senior students should plan to check in starting at 8:00 AM to ensure everything runs smoothly and you don’t miss this incredible photo opportunity that will capture this milestone moment in your high school journey. Be sure to arrive on time, dressed to impress, and ready to create memories that will last a lifetime!

Coffee with the Principal – Wednesday, November 20th at 8:30 AM

Calling all parents! We invite you to join us for our Coffee with the Principal on Wednesday, November 20th, at 8:30 AM in the EHS Theater Lobby. This is a wonderful chance to meet with Principal Stanford in an informal setting, ask questions, share feedback, and get an inside look at the exciting things happening at Eastside High School. Your voice matters, and we greatly appreciate your engagement in making our school community stronger. We look forward to your ideas and hearing your thoughts!

Attention Juniors and Seniors! There’s an upcoming field trip to California State University, Northridge (CSUN) on December 2nd!

Permission slips are now available in the Activities Office. Space is limited, so make sure to turn in your signed slip as soon as possible to secure your spot. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!

As always, tutoring is available for students seeking academic support. After School tutoring is available for all student Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:40pm - 4:30pm. Before school tutoring is available Monday-Friday from 7:40 am - 8:40 am.

¡Atención a todos los seniors! La tan esperada Foto Panorama de los Seniors se tomará el viernes por la mañana, 15 de noviembre, a las 8:45 AM en el estadio. Los estudiantes seniors deben planear registrarse a partir de las 8:00 AM para asegurarse de que todo salga bien y no perderse esta increíble oportunidad de foto, que capturará este momento tan importante en su trayectoria escolar. Apoyo Académico para Estudiantes
Como siempre, ofrecemos tutorías para los estudiantes que necesiten apoyo académico. Does your student need additional social emotional support at EHS? EHS offers many on campus student support groups to support our Lions through the many issues today's teens may be dealing with. If you would like to refer your student for a student support group, please scan the QR code and complete the google form.

Some examples of Student Support Groups offered at EHS are:

Mood Group, Anxiety, Life Skills, Anger Management, Grief/Loss, Conflict Resolution, and Substance Abuse.

You can also use the form to suggest a group your student may benefit from.

Scholarships and grants are helpful ways to fund your child’s college education. They provide you with free money that can go towards tuition or other educational expenses.This year we have partnered with Going Merry to make completing the FAFSA and finding scholarships easier than ever! Please have your student go to the School Counseling Office for assistance.

EHS parents/guardians have three options for viewing their student's grades, assignments, and attendance.

1. AV High School District App (Lion Link) - This app gives you new, information, as well as your student's progress. It is available on both the Apple App Store and Google App Store. When in the app store, search for AVUHSD and download the app.
2. PowerSchool App - This app ties right into your PowerSchool Parent Portal. You will get live updates on grades, assignments, and attendance. This app is also found on the Apple App Store and Google App Store. Search for PowerSchool and use district code: NWMZ.

There are some helpful links below to get your PowerSchool Parent Portal account set up for the school year.

If you need to clear an absence, please email the EHS Attendance office at ehs-attendance@avhsd.org. Make sure to include your student's name, student ID number, date of absence, reason for the absence, your name, and relationship to the student. You may also call the attendance office at 661-946-3800 Extensions 1050 (A-L) and 1045 (M-Z).
