NEWS & INFORMATION
10/17/2024
This week has been busy and productive! We enjoyed having our student's grown-ups in for conferences this week so we could showcase the great things our students are doing! We hope you got to walk the halls to see the amazing artwork students have completed!
PICK UP
To help ensure students arrive at their correct dismissal location, we kindly ask that you contact the main office by 2:30 PM if there are any changes to your child’s dismissal plan. While we understand that emergencies can happen, we’ve noticed a significant increase in last-minute changes around 3:00 PM, which can cause confusion and delays. By notifying us by 2:30 PM, we can make sure your child receives a dismissal note and reaches the right spot after school. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
GIRLS ON THE RUN
Girls on the Run ran their practice 5K today. Lots of students and staff cheered them on! They run in Cincinnati on November 16th! We are so proud of them!
5TH GRADERS AS PEER HELPERS
This week our 5th graders began as peer helpers to kindergarteners, it fosters a sense of leadership, responsibility, and empathy in the older students while providing younger children with valuable support and guidance. This mentoring relationship builds confidence and social skills in both groups. For younger students, having a "big buddy" to look up to can ease their transition into school and promote a sense of belonging and security. Additionally, this cross-age interaction encourages collaboration, strengthens the school community, and nurtures a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students.
HALLOWEEN PARADE
Our annual Halloween parade will take place on Thursday, October 31st @ 8:45. THIS IS A CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS! For those planning to attend please, park in the upper lot and make your way around the building to the bus loop. You can begin heading to the bus loop anytime after 8:35 AM. PLEASE wait until 8:35 to allow our preschool students to enter the building.
During the parade, students will walk around the bus loop before returning inside to continue their school day.
Costumes will be permitted with the following guidelines:
1. No Costume Masks
2. No Props
3. Minimal Makeup
4. Costumes must be worn to school. There will not be a “change time”. Please make sure that your child will be able to function comfortably throughout the day (bathroom needs, recess, school work, specials) while wearing his/her costume.
We look forward to a fun and safe Halloween celebration!
