Maintenance & Facilities Updates
Maintenance and Grounds Team Completes Key Projects in November
The maintenance and grounds team tackled several projects in November, ensuring facilities remained safe and functional for students and staff. The district thanks the maintenance and grounds team for their efforts to maintain safe and efficient facilities for the school community.
High School Courtyard Maintenance
The team spent three days cleaning the courtyard at Sedro-Woolley High School. Work included pressure washing the building’s exterior and entryway, clearing moss from the bricks, and removing leaves.
HVAC Maintenance Program
“Filter Fridays” began in November, with staff performing preventative maintenance and replacing HVAC filters at schools across the district. The team plans to complete the program by addressing one school each Friday.
Underground Water Tank Testing
At Samish Elementary, the team conducted a final pressure test on the underground water storage tank for the fire hydrant. This marked the completion of a recertification process that began in the summer with tank inspections.
Basketball Hoop Donation
Club Hoop donated two adjustable basketball hoops to Samish Elementary. The maintenance team installed the hoops, which are designed to be used by students of different ages and abilities.
Storm Damage Response
The windstorm last month caused a tree branch to fall on the roof of Evergreen Elementary, puncturing several areas. The maintenance team removed the branch and repaired the damage.

Winning bidders are responsible for pick-up of all items by appointment only once the sale is over. All surplus items are sold as is.

Volunteering to coach or training to become a referee is one of the best opportunities a parent or guardian has to stay involved in their child's life through various stages of development!
