Duel Enrollment Summer 2024 Information
The Summer 2024 Registration Worksheet.docx is now available on our Pasco DE webpage with important upcoming dates and deadlines for Summer Registration.
- Completion of the Student Orientation online is also REQUIRED for all DE students. Students who have not completed this course will not be able to register for Summer courses. Visit https://admissions.phsc.edu/start/high-school/dual-enroll/faq to access directions on how to complete the orientation.
- Please note that students who are taking an online course for the first time must complete the online readiness course through Canvas. Completion of the PHSC online readiness course is required prior to registering in any online dual enrollment courses. We highly encourage all students to access and complete the online readiness course now.
- Summer 2024 Online Request Form (Dynamic Form), will be available by Monday, February 26th and can be found here.

A New Medical Scholarship For Students
A new medical scholarship for students who resided in Pasco County, the Lawrence and Charlotte Klau Medical Scholarship. The application will open for submissions tomorrow, February 15, 2024, and will have a deadline of March 26, 2024.

Below is a description that we have listed on the application in our system:
Purpose: The Lawrence and Charlotte Klau Medical Scholarship was created to support students residing in Pasco County who are pursuing post-secondary education within the medical field.
Amount of Scholarship: Recipients will be awarded scholarships of up to $5,000 per year for up to four years. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the approved educational institution where the student is enrolled. Students must remain in good standing with their college or university and annually report their grades to the Community Foundation Tampa Bay.
Submission Deadline: March 26, 2024 at 11:59pm
Applicants Must:
· reside in Pasco County
· have financial need
· pursue post-secondary education in the medical field
*Preference will be given to applicants pursuing nursing.

2024 Women's History Contest
Educators: We have begun our 2024 Women’s History Contest for Florida students in grades K-12. This year’s theme is “Women in Public Service”.
We have our essay contest for students in grades 6-8, our video contest for students in grades 9-12, and just introduced last year is our art contest for students in grades K-5. ABC Program Needs Your Assistance
Parents, we are in need of gently used clothes(School Appropriate) that your student is no longer using. Shoes, pants, shorts, shirts etc... NO bathing suits or intimates UNLESS they are brand new. Please drop off the items in the front office. We greatly appreciate your help!

Gowns For Girls
Gowns for Girls is a nonprofit that provides dresses to students in need so that they may attend their high school dance without the financial burden of finding the perfect outfit. They have over 1500 dresses to give away and would like to invite your students to our pop-up boutique in March.

Digital SAT School Day
Our Juniors (11th graders) have an upcoming Digital SAT School Day on March 6, 2024. To help prepare, an ACT/SAT/FAST Boot Camp is being offered on February 24, 2024. The district is committed to supporting students and encourages them to take advantage of this resource.
If your student is not a junior, but would like to participate in the SAT School Day, the cost is $33. Your student will need to bring a check to Mrs. Howard, no later than February 16th to be registered. Please contact Brooke Howard with any questions or concerns.
4th annual Virtual College and Career Fair
Pasco County Schools is hosting the 4th annual Virtual College and Career Fair on February 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The purpose of this event is to ensure helpful information is shared with middle and high school families across the district as they plan for college entrance and/or careers after high school. Each session will have a live presentation accessible through our online event platform, Sched, with representatives from College, Career, and Armed Forces.

Athletic Parking - Semester 2

The green passes for athletic parking are expired. Please complete the form by clicking here to complete the application for a Spring Sports Parking pass. Early Release Days
This year, Pasco County Schools will have eight early release days for students. This is a great time to schedule doctor appointments, haircuts, and special family time. Mark your calendar now for these Wednesdays! Schools will release two hours earlier than usual. Check your school's website for more details.

ABC (Assist, Believe and Care) Program
The ABC (Assist, Believe and Care) Program was founded by former Pasco County Schools Superintendent Thomas E. Weightman and is officially called the Thomas E. Weightman ABC Program. The overarching goal of the program is to try and address those barriers that may interfere with the educational success of the child. The program is designed to provide support to students and their families that are experiencing economic hardship or in an immediate family crisis.
