As a fundraiser for the Chisago Lakes Esports program, the Wildcat Community Center will be hosting a cook out each Monday in August from 11-1. Come check out the menu this Monday, August 12 and help support some really great students who are part of a really great team!
Fun time at the Saints Game!
Over 40 folks from Chisago Lakes boarded the bus and went to catch a ball game! The St. Paul Saints game didn't dissapoint as the group got to watch the game from the comfort of a suite and got to have a little fun down on the field as well!
All smiles!
The Saints fell to Columbus 5-3, but the Chisago Lakes contingent were still proud of their local team.
Hugs for everyone!
Minnesota Future Problem Solvers could come to Chisago Lakes...
...but we've' got to solve the problem of finding a coach first!
Chisago Lakes Community Ed. recently received a phone call from Cheryl Whitesitt. Whitesitt is with the Minnesota Chapter of Future Problem Solvers! The Mission of MNFPS is "To teach a process for identifying and resolving problems in a practical, informed, and timely manner with respect to our situation today and our world tomorrow." Future Problem Solving is an international program first started by Dr. E. Paul Torrance in 1974. Through a structured six-step process, FPS teaches students how to think, not what to think. By participating in FPS, students embark on a journey to sharpen their critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Developing these skills helps students improve their academic achievement and achieve future goals. Students tackle global issues, community projects, storytelling, visual arts, creative writing and many more categories. The program is open to grades 4-12. CLCE would love to provide this opportunity to our students, but we need your help. If you or anyone you might know has participated in FPS or, if you have the ability to learn, we'd love to find an advisor. From there, the season begins this fall. If your student is interested in joining CLFPS, stay tuned for more information. Forest Lake just had a former student come back and help get a new team off the ground and we're hoping we can offer this opportunity to our students through the benefit of a local coach. Again, stay tuned for more information, but if you're interested in coaching, please reach out to Daniel McGonigle at dmcgonigle@isd2144.org. Thank you!

A mountain of foam...
Our student staff workers spent the better part of the past three days cleaning out the foam pit in our gymnastics room. A slight issue was discovered and the space will have to be shut down until repairs can be safely made.
...however...
...once the work is done on the structure below, the blocks will be clean for another year of use! Thank you to the hard work of our students for helping keep our spaces tip-top!
