Woodbury Weekly Update for Families
November 15, 2024
Welcome to our weekly update! We are thrilled to keep you informed about the happenings at our school, celebrations & achievements and upcoming events, ensuring you're an active part of your students educational journey. In each update, you'll find some quick highlights of the past week and a preview of what's to come. Our hope is to foster a strong sense of community and collaboration between the school and our cherished families. Most weeks will be brief, but at times there is important information or updates that help support us in your involvement in our little school. Thank you for taking the time to read it!
An honor to show our respect and appreciation for our local veterans and all who have served and continue to serve. Thank you for your sacrifice and service to our country.
A Peek at a Great Week
We have breadmaking, parent teacher conferences and so much more over the course of the next couple of weeks as we wrap up November. Be sure to sign up for a conference with your child's teacher if you have not already.
Exciting news! We are getting a new fence! If you are aware of how long Mrs. Kern has been longing for this day, it's like early Christmas! The new fence will be installed beginning 11/26 while we are on fall break. You also may see that our building will be undergoing some changes to our learning spaces in preparation for next school year to create more spaces for learning and update current spaces to manage storage as well. Completing these projects throughout the school year will also us to be ready in advance for the fall 2025-2026 school year. At our board meeting this week we will be taking a short tour of the building so where those updates will be shared with board members and other community members in attendance. We would love to see you!
Franklin Mall Food Project continues. See information below.
SCHOOL BOARD MEETING: On Tuesday, November 19th, we will be hosting the school board meeting. The meeting will be held in our multipurpose room at 7:00 PM. We would love you to join us as we get a chance to share our pride for our little school, all of the wonderful people who fill it, including our amazing families! If there are any parents/guardians who would be interested in sharing about your (and your students) positive experience here at Woodbury at the board meeting that evening, please reach out to Mrs. Kern.
A visit with our favorite furry friends from the Fox Valley Therapy Dog Club! We are so appreciate of these wonderful ladies who bring their beloved pets to spread a little joy each month to our school. Be sure to stop by and see them at our Winter Family Fun Night!
