Hewitt-Trussville Football completed the 2024 regular season on Friday night with a 49-0 win at Tuscaloosa County. The Huskies were 5-2 in 7A Region 3 play and enter the playoffs as the #3 seed from the Region.

The Huskies will travel south to Baker High School on November 8 for the first round of the AHSAA 7A Football playoffs. The Hornets are currently 7-2 on the year with one regular season game remaining. Game-specific information will be released next week.

Hewitt-Trussville Senior Michael Igbinogene will represent team Alabama in the 38th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game. This year's game will be played in Mobile on Saturday December 14.

The HTHS Girls Flag Football team will conclude regular season play on Tuesday night. The Huskies are currently 9-1 overall and 6-0 in Region play. HT will host Albertville on Tuesday night at 6pm.

Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country will host the AHSAA Sectional Meet on Thursday October 31. The races will begin on the field near the video board and will end inside Hewitt-Trussville Stadium. The event is free and open to the public. The top four teams will advance to the AHSAA State Meet.

Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country closed the regular season last Thursday at the Oakville XC Invitational. The HT Boys finished 1st out of 12 teams and the HT Girls finished 2nd out of 10 teams.

A total of eight Huskies were honored last week as they were named to the All-Metro Team. Both HTMS Football teams went 8-0 this year and captured Metro titles.

8th Grade Head Coach Scott Bromley was recently named the MetroSouth 8th Grade Coach of the Year. The 8th Grade team went 8-0 this season and won the Metro title. This group of Huskies went 16-0 combined the last two years and have outscored their opponents 646-106.
