Thank you for your partnership in making sure that your children, when healthy, are able to be present and in school and learning.
We wanted to share this simple checklist to help you determine when to send your child to school and when to keep your child at home.

Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair opens next Thursday, October 12th!

Our fair is made possible by parent volunteers helping to run the cash register; please click HERE to volunteer.
Hours and times will be:
- Thursday October 12th (8 am to 4 pm)
- Friday October 13th (8 am to 4 pm)
- Sunday October 15th (12 noon to 4) (note: the PTO Fall Festival is from 2 to 4 pm)
- Monday October 16th including Family Night (8 am to 7 pm)
- Tuesday October 17th (8 am to 4 pm)
If you would like to donate money to support SPES students purchasing books, there is a donation box in the front office or you may click HERE to donate online to our school’s general eWallet fund.

Digital Citizenship Week is coming up on October 16th to October 20th! Albemarle County Public Schools are partnering with Common Sense Media to emphasize the importance of responsible online behavior. You can explore valuable resources online at Common Sense Media. Let's work together to create a positive and balanced digital experience for our kids!
Spotlight on Day of Caring
Stony Point Fire Company State of the Station
The State of the Station is a communication opportunity for Stony Point Volunteer Fire Company to reach out to the Stony Point community to communicate our strengths, membership, current challenges and areas of need, fundraising and membership opportunities.
Fall Basketball Clinic Opportunity
On October 14th and October 21st, the Albemarle High School Girls Basketball Coach will be hosting two Fall Ball Clinics aimed at teaching intricate basketball skills. The cost for attending one clinic is $40 or both clinics for $60. Scholarships are available. These clinics are open to all students in both elementary school and middle school.
