Please join us for the next meeting of the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 3:35 pm to 4:35 pm in the library. We will discuss graduation requirements, the college application process, and some workshop dates (FAFSA for financial aid and Los Rios Community College in February). We will also preview ELPAC testing.

We will have interpreters available for Farsi/Dari, Pashto, and Spanish speakers. Parents, students, and siblings are welcome!

KYDS 91.5 FM will hold its annual winter audio-thon on December 6th. In partnership with the Mustard Seed School, the DJs will be on air for 24 hours and collect toys and gifts in support of Sacramento's homeless students. Please see the attached flyer and drop off any donations in Room S1 or at the office anytime during the week of December 2-6th.

Attention Seniors and families: You are invited to attend the Senior Grad Fair on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in the Cafeteria between 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. You will be able to purchase senior items on the spot, order class rings and you will also be able to order your cap, gown and tassel for Graduation. Herff Jones representatives will be present to answer all of your questions.

Save time and money by attending the grad fair and ordering early.

We would like you to please complete the ThoughtExchange at the following link. We will also be having a listening session for ELAC members.

El Camino Eagles do you need a quiet place to study or help with your homework? If so, come to afterschool study hall every school day until 4:25 pm in Room 24. This includes Thursdays and minimum days!

This year's annual Talent Show will take place on December 6th at 6 pm in the Performing Arts Center. There will be tons of talent this year so come out and show your support! Admission to the Talent Show is free, however we encourage you to donate at the door!

San Juan Unified high school students are invited to share their voices and submit their work for the San Juan Unified Literary Magazine, a student-run publication. Submissions close on January 10, 2025. The theme for this year's magazine is "We are Dreamers." Learn more about the submission process Accepted submissions include:

The Freshman class will be selling Candy-grams the week of December 9th - December 17th. Each Candy-gram will be $1 and they will be distributed during 2nd period on the 18th! Make sure to stop by and get one for your besties!

A Cane's Fundraiser will be held December 20th to support Junior Prom. It will be held from 5-8 pm, at 3348 El Camino Avenue. Come out to support the Junior class and the upcoming dance.

In an effort to accommodate schedules for our working community, we are happy to host monthly after-hours volunteer fingerprint clinics at the district office board room (3738 Walnut Avenue, Carmichael) from 5 to 6:30 pm on the following dates:

A valid photo ID is required. Verification forms must be completed prior to fingerprinting. Forms can be found at www.sanjuan.edu/volunteer

Click the link to the online payment and form or print the form and return to the Principal's Office. This event is held the evening after graduation and is a fun, safe way for your seniors to celebrate their final year of high school.
