2025 Theme: "Greater Works!"
MARCH 9-15, 2025 VOLUME 3-2
This March, we will be celebrating Women's History Month. Each Sunday, we will highlight women who have contributed to our church and our country. This week, we highlight the Mothers of One Church. We love them dearly for all they do for the body of Christ.
Mother Reatha Mae Godbolt
Mother Godbolt was the first person to join Bishop Godbolt's church in 1978. She has faithly served as the Finance Director, and as both the Usher Board and the Culinary Arts president. She loves the Lord with all her heart and enjoys seeing everyone on livestream.
Mother Shirley Smith
Mother Smith has been a member for over 28 years. She loves her Pastor, her Bishop, the Word of God, and how the church remembers the seniors during special occasions.
Mother Barbara Prescod
Mother Prescod has been a member for over 27 years. She is the president of the Hospitality Committee and a member of GriefShare. She loves greeting the members and guests with a smile as they enters the sanctuary. As president, she encourages her team members to serve with love, kindness and hospitality while creating a welcoming environment for everyone that enters our church.
Mother Sandra Hilton
Mother Hilton joined Word of Truth in 2008 and came into One Church Covenant Fellowship from its beginning in 2020. She has worked as a prayer warrior, Sunday school volunteer, a greeter and in other positions as needed. She is a faithful soldier who loves and wants to see souls saved in His kingdom.

SERMON RECAP
THE POWER OF CLAPPING
Sr. Pastor Ron Godbolt preached a powerful lesson entitled "Clapping." His scripture references were Psalm 47:1,2, Psalm 98:8-9, and Ezekiel 21:14.
His lesson objectives were:
1. Understand the power of clapping your hands
2. Recognize the meaning of clapping your hands
3. Clap your hands
He gave us these points to consider from the acronym 'Clap':
C-Sense of Collective Belonging
L-Leads to an uplifting
A-Applause for approval
P-Praise: Miriam with the timbrel

TAKE NOTE OF THE WEEKLY SCHEDULE
LENT IS OBSERVED MARCH 5-APRIL 17, 2025
THREE DAYS OF CONSECRATION
As we enter into the Lent season, our leaders taught us these two powerful lessons during our early morning prayer call. Below are two brief synopses that you can use during your study time.
He used the acronym of Lent to give us the following key points and scriptures:
L- Lay aside - Philippians 2:5-8 Jesus laid his life down for us
E- Eyes - Hebrews 11:6 The Lord eyes are on our sacrifice
N- Need - Matthew 1:21 We needed Jesus to save us from our sins
T - Time/ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Take time to prepare to celebrate Resurrection like we do for Christmas
On Wednesday, Bishop John Godbolt taught us the purpose of Lent:
To remember the events leading up to Jesus' death - Identify
I Peter 4:1 - Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
To imitate Jesus' sacrifice in the desert - Imitate
Matthew 4:1 - Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
To prepare for Resurrection - Initiate
Romans 6:1 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
To ask for forgiveness - Impactful
Matthew 6:14, 15 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
To practice self-control - Inner Discipline
I Peter 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing
To serve others - Inspirational
I Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
