Hawk Highlights
April 10 2024
From our Principal
Dear Friends and Families of the Hollys,
We are excited to announce that our amazing PTCO is currently hosting the Hollys Family Giving Campaign to raise funds for the upcoming school year. Further details about this thoughtful fundraising opportunity and ways you can contribute are listed below within the PTCO Newsletter.
A reminder that grades 3, 4 and 5 have started Colorado Measure of Academic Success (CMAS) testing and will continue through the month of April. Your child’s teacher has the testing schedule applicable to your student(s). Thank you for trying to avoid any appointments on these mornings so students can complete testing. Please help us promote confidence in our students’ ability to think hard, read carefully and determine right answers; to persevere when they get frustrated; and to show off what they have learned this year! We are so proud of their hard work and perseverance.
Planning is already underway for the 2024-25 school year. Each year we have the opportunity to tweak programs, schedules, procedures and practices to better meet the needs of our students and community members. We have a leadership team at the Hollys comprised of representatives from the various teams and departments in our school. We examine ideas for positive change for the new school year. We reached consensus on a myriad of topics using “what is best for our children” as our guiding principle. I will share a presentation highlighting plans for the 2024-25 school year at our accountability meeting on Tuesday, May 7 at 4:00pm at Holly Ridge Primary. All are welcome! I will follow up with a written summary in our May newsletter. Be sure to check out our innovative plans for the upcoming school year.
We are here to support your family on your child’s educational journey. We thank you for your partnership each day. Please do not hesitate to reach out for support, ideas or questions.
Together in education,
Molly Drvenkar
Principal

PTCO News
The Hollys Giving Campaign is here! We have just two weeks left to go in only fundraiser that we do all year! Our goal is for every student to raise $75!
Students raise money by asking their families, friends, and neighbors for donations. They collect donations in person via cash or check or online via our fundraising website, https://app.99pledges.com/fund/hollysgive.
One hundred percent of the money that we raise goes towards supporting The Hollys in the form of classroom grants, reducing the cost of field trips, new media for the library, and supplies for integrated arts classes!
Parents and families, you can help by spreading the word! You can create a personalized link for your child that goes straight to The Hollys Giving Campaign. Go to our fundraising website, 99 Pledges and enter your child’s name in the search bar. When their name comes up, click on it. Their personalized link will pop up under “Help Us Spread the Word.” You can copy and paste your personalized link into emails and text messages to friends and families, which makes donating online fast, safe, and easy.
You can also help by checking with your employer for a donation matching program. Please see our this list of employers with donation matching programs. If you have a small business, or are connected to a small business, and you would be interested in sponsoring an event at The Hollys, you can fill out this form.
Thank you so much for helping to make The Hollys Giving Campaign a success!!!

Important Information for Bus Riders
Dear CCSD parents/guardians:
There is a new and improved transportation app for families called My Ride K-12 that provides information about your child’s bus route. This My Ride K-12 app replaces the Ride360 app, which will be phased out on May 1.
To ensure continued access to information about your child’s bus route, please download the new My Ride K-12 app from your favorite app store and log in to your child’s account. The Ride360 app will no longer be available starting May 1. You can log in with your existing Ride360 user name and password.
IMPORTANT: To continue having access to real time information about your child’s bus route, you must download the new My Ride K-12 app before the Ride360 app goes away May 1.
You can download it here:
The new My Ride K-12 app has improved usability and more modern technology that will give families access to critical information, including estimated times of arrival and departure for your child’s bus.
Last year, CCSD launched a new transportation program with RFID cards for bus riders. The program was designed to increase safety, parent communication and bus route efficiency. The new My Ride K-12 app is an important and helpful tool for families whose students use bus transportation.

For other questions, please contact Teresa Peterson at tpeterson4@cherrycreekschools.org and 720-554-4647.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to continue providing safe and reliable bus transportation for your child.
Thank you,
Gary Thompson Director of Transportation
