A Note From Mrs. Diee
Hello, Lyncrest Families!
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held next week. Please note, these are half-days for students on Wednesday, 2/26 and Thursday, 2/27. Helpful Tips for Conferences:
- Come prepared with questions about your child’s progress, strengths, and areas where they might need extra support.
- Review any recent work your child has brought home and consider what areas they might need help with or where they excel.
- If you would like to discuss specific concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher ahead of time so they can prepare.
Since we will be having half days on February 26 and 27, please send a lunch or large snack with your child if they are not participating in the PTO fundraiser lunch options.
We are excited to announce that Read Across America Week (3/3-3/7) is just around the corner, and we’ve planned some fun activities to celebrate the love of reading! This week will also include dress-up days designed by our Student Council to make the celebration even more engaging for our students. Please review the schedule of themed days and start planning for the fun:
Read Across America Week Dress-Up Days:
- “The Lorax”-Monday, March 3 Wear a silly mustache and an orange or yellow shirt!
“If I Ran the Zoo”-Tuesday, March 4 Dress up like an animal, wear a shirt with your favorite animal on it, or wear an animal print!
“Wacky Wednesday”-Wednesday, March 5 Wear polka dots, plaid, backwards or mismatched clothing too, and even funny hairstyles and crazy hats will do!
“The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins”-Thursday, March 6 Wear a hat to school…crazy or not, it’s up to you!
“Green Eggs and Ham”-Friday, March 7 Wear green and enjoy breakfast with The Cat in the Hat!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Diee :)
