SPRING 2024 MARCHING BAND & DRILL TEAM TRIPS
The OV Band and Drill Team will be marching in Sequim’s Irrigation Festival Parade on Saturday (May 11) and Selah’s Community Days Parade on Saturday (May 18) representing the Mukilteo School District and the Olympic View Middle School community!
A comprehensive informational package was sent home on March 29th. Please check with your student. If you have any questions, kindly contact Mr. Ray at RayJB@mukilteo.wednet.edu
We are missing several HP Chromebooks that were borrowed by students!! When students forgot their school-provided DELL laptops at home, they are given an HP Chromebook as a loaner. These Chromebooks MUST BE returned at the end of the day. Unfortunately, some students have forgotten and taken the Chromebooks home instead and continue to forget to bring the HP Chromebooks back to school. We urgently need these devices returned to OV FOCUS ROOM so we can assist other students. Please take a look at the device picture to get idea of what a school-issued Chromebooks look like.
Overdue Chromebooks can result in lunch detentions until the device is returned or result in a $350 fine if lost, stolen, or simply not returned.
Please help us by checking with your student to see if they have a loaner HP Chromebook at home and make sure they return it to OV FOCUS ROOM.
Our after-school help session called Elect To Learn, will not occur this week as we work to “re-vamp” the program due to behaviors occurring in this after-school program. We plan to reopen the program after spring break with a clear communication to students what the expectations are in the after-school homework help program.
At the beginning of March, we asked for your help in providing snacks for our students. And WOW, did you respond! Our entire wish list was filled (and more) within just four hours!! Words cannot describe how truly grateful we are to have such supportive families 💚
A HUGE THANK YOU 🙏 to the Yanchuk Family, the Farmer Family, the Roecker Family, the Evans Family, the Walters Family, the Thompson Family, the Cartwright Family, the Siscel Smith Family, the Avelino/VanWieringen Family, the Sahli Family, the Johnsons Family, the Shin Family, the Bakanov/Berdyeva Family, the Fast Family, the Walter Family, the Kosai Family, the Dyment Family, the Hemming Family, the Lewis/Shopbell Family, the Park Family, Jen B, and all the anonymous donors!!
Your generosity will help pave the way for our students' success. Together, we can make a positive impact on these students' lives and foster a brighter future for them.
We APPRECIATE you all!
We want to include YOUR heritage!!
This event is dedicated to honoring the rich tapestry of cultures and identities within our community. It's not too late to get involved. Please contact Anne Crocco at croccoag@mukilteo.wednet.edu.

USEFUL INFORMATION
A message from Your Student Support Advocate, Patricia Nogueda
For many students, middle school can be one of the most strenuous times of their lives. When children reach their teenage years, many are faced with the difficulties of transitioning academically, socially, and emotionally. As parents, we often find ourselves not knowing how to best support our children during these challenging years. This is where parenting classes can offer guidance and understanding to the current issues our children face daily in school, at home or in relationships. Parenting classes are intended to provide training and education to parents to help them improve their knowledge and skills related to caring for and raising a child. If you would like information about local parenting classes, we are here to help.
Please contact our Student Support Advocate, Patricia Nogueda, at (425) 366-53224 or by email at noguedapx@mukilteo.wednet.edu for more information.
BREAKFAST & LUNCH MENU
Meet NAOMI DAVIS: Visual Arts Teacher
I graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities, Arts, Literature, and Culture. I continued my education and received a Master's Degree in Teaching from City U. A fun fact from my college years: I was once an Ivar's clam mascot for an event they hosted. While I don't recall the specifics of the event, I do remember how fun it was to don the clam costume and interact with people!
My favorite thing to do in my spare time is spending time with my family and our giant dog, Walter. He is a mix of a sled dog and Rottweiler, weighing around 80 pounds!
