On Friday, June 7th you’re invited to a free Movie Night at the North City Plaza for a viewing of Disney’s Frozen. Popcorn will be provided, and food and beverages will be available for purchase with sales benefitting the San Marcos Unified School District.

The brand new NCTD+ is an on-demand transit service that provides shared rides within a service zone. The service is available to all riders and uses ADA accessible vans that can seat up to nine passengers. Coming June 10, 2024, the first service zone launches in San Marcos! This NCTD+ pilot program will serve the greater San Marcos area including CSUSM, Palomar College, Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, North City, the local business district, and more!

Focused Futures: Guides 50 Seniors (per school) from disadvantaged and underserved backgrounds towards concrete steps to develop foundational job skills, build confidence, and transition to meaningful post-secondary training and education opportunities. FF students tend to not know what their next steps will be. Focused Future students are students who could benefit from more individualized support/guidance for their future. Some FF students may be college bound.

Xcelerate: Empowers 15-20 workforce-bound Seniors (per school) to secure higher-paying jobs with benefits after graduation by developing leadership and career-readiness skills, learning about possible non-college career options, and connecting to local businesses with job openings. Xcelerate students are students looking to enter the workforce directly after high school.
