School is closed for Spring Break from Friday, March 22nd - Monday, April 1st.

School resumes on Tuesday, April 2nd!

Congratulations goes out to Allison Elementary 3rd Grade Teacher, Mrs. Dee Ann Martin! Mrs. Martin attended the Indiana Learning Lab reading instruction courses this winter and received a grant for $1,200! Martin shared that this introduction of the science of reading is a new way to look at teaching reading and identifying student needs.

All Speedway Elementary Schools will be hosting a spring kindergarten round-up for children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2024.

Children must be at least 5 years old on or before August 1, 2024 to be eligible.

This is an opportunity for the parent and child to visit the school, pre-register for fall 2024 and receive information about our kindergarten program. If you are unable to attend, please contact your elementary school for registration information.

Registration Requirements

· Original Birth Certificate

· Immunization Records

· Lease or Mortgage (parent(s)/guardian AND child must be on the lease contract)

· Photo ID from parent enrolling student

To register, the student must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2024.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing directly over Indianapolis. The timing of it's totality will be just as our students would be dismissing school.

For safety reasons, all Speedway Schools will be closed on Monday, April 8th. Please note this change to our previously published school calendar.
