Smore Newsletters will be sent every other week!
A Message from Ms. Curry
Sandshore families,
We had a wonderful presentation by Mr. Tim Jacobus, Goosebumps illustrator, this week. All of our students enjoyed learning about Mr. Jacobus' job and how he creates his illustrations and book covers.
Next week we will celebrate Choose to Include. This annual event promotes inclusion and positively impacts school climate by fostering understanding and respect for all. Sandshore students will be involved in many special activities in their homerooms and special area classes. We will also celebrate with a School Spirit Week, detailed further in this newsletter.
Our One Book, One School Family Night event is coming soon. Please use the link in this Smore newsletter to register. Registration closes on March 22nd!
Just a reminder that school is closed on Monday, March 31st for a teacher professional development day. Please plan accordingly.
Check out the SHSP website for details on upcoming events. From their main page, click on "upcoming" for additional information.
Ongoing Reminders:
Please be sure to put any changes to your child's dismissal procedures, including if they are staying for any after school activities, including Fit Kids, Aspire, MOSA, etc. in Pick Up Patrol.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Ms. Curry

No Place For Hate Student Committee Field Trip
On March 14, 2025, members of our Sandshore No Place for Hate student committee attended the Diversity Council on Global Education and Citizenship’s 2025 Elementary & Middle School Leadership Conference at Kean University in Union, NJ. The event featured a keynote speaker Amya Meekins, a New Jersey-based teen entrepreneur, rapper, and author of The Life of a Teenage Girl. Our NPFH students eagerly worked alongside peers from other Mt. Olive schools to discuss, brainstorm, and plan ideas for improving their school communities' culture and climate.
