ELearning Plans for Inclement Weather
We want to keep you informed about our plan for eLearning days, which may be used in the event of an emergency or severe weather. These days are considered official school days, so it’s important to review the information below to ensure everyone is prepared.
Notification Process
In the event of an eLearning day, families will receive a message from our superintendent, Dr. Amy Zaher, via Thrillshare. Notifications will also be posted on our website and social media platforms. We strive to notify families as early as possible before an anticipated storm so that students, families, and staff can prepare.
Student Preparation
Teachers will prepare students in advance so they know how to join their classes remotely. On an eLearning day, simply have your child log in to their device, and we’ll guide them from there!
Attendance
Since eLearning days count as school days, it’s important to call in your child as absent if they are unable to attend remotely.
eLearning Day Schedule
Please take a moment to review the detailed eLearning schedule we’ve provided to ensure your family is ready should we need to transition to remote learning.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to ensure learning continues smoothly, no matter the weather!
Do you want to let a staff member know how great they are doing??
We're putting a spin on our Extraordinary Recognition Awards by changing this to the Crew of Champions Award. Great Districts Row as One! Do you know of a Salt Creek District 48 staff member who has demonstrated trust, collaboration, or teamwork, has gone above and beyond, and is worthy to receive the Crew of Champions Award?
