Principal Message
Dear Meadow Ridge Families,
Happy New Year! We hope you had a joyful and restful holiday season. It’s been wonderful to welcome our Jaguars back to school this week. We’ve been spending time reviewing schoolwide rules and procedures to ensure a smooth and successful start to the new year.
As a reminder, here are our key arrival and dismissal expectations (video included below):
- Arrival: Students should arrive between 8:45 AM and 9 AM. *REMEMBER THERE IS NO SUPERVISION UNTIL 8:45 AM. Please use designated drop-off zones to ensure safety.
- Dismissal: Students will be dismissed at 3:20 PM. Parents/guardians should use the appropriate pickup zones and follow the pickup protocols.
Our teachers are also hard at work gathering and analyzing winter benchmarking data to tailor instruction and support for all students. In addition, conferences are just around the corner, offering a great opportunity to connect and discuss your child’s progress. Look below for more information about scheduling your conference time.
Thank you for your continued partnership in making Meadow Ridge a great place for learning and growth. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Warm regards,
Erin O'Connor

Happy New Year Jaguars!!!
I can't believe it's 2025! I want to begin this year thanking every single person who helped our families have a wonderful Christmas and winter break. Yokes Fresh Market, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Meadow Ridge PTO, the staff at Meadow Ridge who took tags and brought breakfast items, Miss Mary who organized all the things behind the scenes, Nicole Varnell and Zach Proett who took a chance and tried something new with the Virtual Tree of Sharing, and finally, all of you, the parents and community members who took tags, brought in gifts, donated money, and cared for those less fortunate. It meant so much to so many. I have been here for 16 years and this was the most need I have ever seen. I worried when the tags went up that the need might be too great, but with everyone's help, 30 families experienced the support of this loving community.
Teaching kids how to be kind and care for one another starts at home. We continue it here at school, and this holiday season, the two blended beautifully.
We are stronger together.
Happy New Year!

Nurse's News
January 2025
During the winter months it can be hard to remember hydration, so here I am encouraging you all to remember to keep filling those water bottles and make sure that you are sending water bottles with your child. If your child does not have a water bottle, we do have water fountains available. Good hydration is helpful when battling illness and keeping the body functioning well.
Illnesses are still floating around in the community, including our school community. Take a couple minutes to review hand washing with our child - warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds. Find out what your child knows about handwashing (when to wash, how to wash, and why to wash) and watch them when they wash their hands - these can be good education opportunities! Information was already shared from the district about keeping sick kids home and thank you all for keeping our school community healthier!
Clean Hands and Best Wishes,
Nurse Allison
Family Conferences
We are excited to announce that our Family Conferences will take place from Wednesday, February 12th through Friday, February 14th. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and discuss their progress and goals for the remainder of the school year.
To schedule your conference, please use the Pick-a-Time scheduling tool. The system will open on Sunday, January 26th and remain available until Monday, February 10th.
We encourage you to book your conference early to secure your preferred time. If you have any questions or need assistance with scheduling, please feel free to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. We look forward to seeing you at the conferences!
