Welcome to Orchard View Early Elementary

Welcome to Orchard View Early Elementary! We are excited to have you and your child with us this year. Our goal is to keep you informed and involved in your child’s educational journey through regular updates in this newsletter.


It’s been a great start so far! In just the second week, students are adjusting well and gaining independence as they navigate the school—starting with arrival and dismissal routines.


We’re looking forward to making this the best year EVER and can’t wait to see all the growth ahead!

  • October 9: 1st Grade Spookley Field Trip Weesies Farm (Nichols, Campbell, Bol)

Please note: Demographics must be completed in PowerSchool in order to attend any field trips. It is vital that we can contact a parent in case of an emergency. Also, if parents will be attending field trips, they must fill out a Volunteer Consent form.

Extra Clothes

Please remember to send your child in with an extra pair of clothes. Sometimes accidents happen at lunch, on the playground, and in the classroom.

Dress

With the weather changing, please remember to dress for the weather. Dress in layers!

Lost and Found

Did you know that we have a lost and found? Feel free to stop in or contact your child's teacher if you are missing any items from home. It does help to label clothing, lunch boxes, and water bottles.

Our School-Wide PBIS

We wanted to share some exciting news about our school-wide behavior expectations! Over the past two weeks, students have been learning the expectations in all areas of our school. They’ve been earning Cardinal SOAR tickets for demonstrating the following behaviors: Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be in Control .


Our students earned an impressive 468 SOAR tickets in just two weeks! We recently held a random drawing, and several students were able to earn fun prizes as a reward for their positive behavior.
