5 THINGS Happening at Gulf Coast
February 7, 2025
5 THINGS
1. Interims for Q3
Today is the close of the interim period for quarter 3. Have you checked your student's grades? Interims will be published on Thursday.
The end of this quarter is March 24. This date has changed when the school calendar was modified due to the hurricanes.
If your student is struggling, please contact the counselor to set up a parent-teacher conference. We just wrapped up School Counselor Week - and our counselors are amazing! They are here to help support our students and ensure they are on track to graduate.
2. New Students?
Apparently, Gulf Coast High has a few newcomers... a family of great-horned owls! They are residing here on campus with two owlets in the nest.
If you have a new student to register for the 2025-2026 school year, click here for more information. (We're not sure if the owls have submitted all the required documentation yet...)

Gulf Coast Mock Trial Team Shines in County Championship!
After two days of fierce courtroom battles and four rounds of intense litigation, our Gulf Coast High School Mock Trial Teams have made history by advancing to the county championship round and securing an impressive second-place finish! With sharp legal arguments, quick-witted objections, and unwavering teamwork, our students showcased their skills in front of real judges and attorneys. Their dedication and passion for the law were on full display, proving that the future of justice is bright. Congratulations to our incredible teams for their hard work and success—next stop, the top spot! ⚖️🏆👏
Coach Kelly, Chef Miller, and Coach Capasso collaborated to organize the Gulf Coast CTE classes' participation in the "Build My Futures" event. This initiative provided students with valuable insights into potential careers within the building and construction trades. The event aligns with our district's commitment to integrating work-based learning opportunities, fostering practical skills development among our student body.
Thank you to MJ Kramer and the Sharks Booster Club for a wonderful Super Bowl luncheon today. Be sure to patronize Kelly’s Roast Beef - they donated all of the food!
