Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
The first full week in May has proven to be a busy one as our Advanced Placement (AP) students jumped into testing, spring concerts began, and our spring sports’ teams entered into post-season competition These activities add to the excitement of wrapping up another school year along with launching all of the celebratory senior events! It’s a busy time!
Please help us help all of the students in grades 9-11 remember how important it is to pass all of their classes now in order to maintain eligibility for the fall of 2024! This is not only important to participate in sports, but also for participation in marching band and attendance at the fall homecoming dance. Students often do not think eligibility applies to them if they do not participate in sports. Make sure you review this with them. Thank you!
The end of the school year often brings about a feeling of “fatigue” when it comes to tolerating others. In fact, restless behaviors and attendance issues often increase as May begins to wrap up. Thank you for helping us maintain their focus so they transition into summer break feeling good about themselves and school.
To all of the mothers and mother figures, we certainly wish you a restful Mother’s Day!
In service to our Bulldogs.
