Message from Mr. Souza
Dear MHS Families,
On behalf of the entire school district, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the community for your support of the MHS District #120 referendum. The approval of the referendum demonstrates a strong commitment to the future of our students, but also reflects a shared belief in the value of providing them with the best possible educational environment. This investment will help us further create a student focused school environment that fosters learning, creativity, and growth for generations to come. We are deeply grateful for your trust and partnership in shaping the future of our school, and we look forward to working together to bring the vision to reality. Thank you for your continued dedication to the success of our students and the strength of our community!
Also, the interview process is underway for the next Superintendent at Mundelein Consolidated High School District #120. This important step will help us find a visionary leader who is dedicated to supporting our students, staff, and community. We look forward to working together to find the right individual who will guide our district into a bright future. The Survey Results and Leadership Profile are now posted on our website at www.d120.org.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Veterans Day Flag Display
MHS students, mostly those members of the National Honor Society, help to decorate our campus with American flags in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day. They’re positioned along Hawley and Midlothian so our entire community can see them as they drive by. We hope you enjoy them. To all of those who served, happy Veterans Day.

Our season came to an end Saturday at the IHSA Sectional at Busse Woods, as our 2 qualifiers ran their hearts out. Elijah Mendoza narrowly missed qualifying for State, taking 26th overall, and placing 11th among individuals (top 10 qualify). Hats off to Izic Miller for trying to pace Elijah to a qualifying spot, before falling off and taking 107th overall. Congratulations, guys, we have something to build on for next year. PreVenture is a mental health program that screens students for personality related risk factors that may indicate increased risk for future participation in high-risk behaviors, including using drugs and alcohol. This does not evaluate for current high-risk behaviors, rather this is a preventative program to support the development of coping skills and self regulation strategies.
Omni utilizes the Substance Use Risk Profile Scale (SURPS) to screen students for eligibility. To learn more about PreVenture, click below.
