The BEAR BUZZ
April 14, 2025

THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING
Our Empty Bowls event was a huge success last week as we raised over $4,500 to support Mission Hope, our local food pantry. The bowls were beautiful, the soup and bread was delicious, and the performances were top notch. Thank you to the TVHS Jazz Band and all of the performers, thank you to all of the generous donors who gave soup and bread for such a worthy cause, and thank you to all of the volunteers and attendees for coming out to such a wonderful event.
OUR GENEROUS DONORS
BLOCK SCHEDULE SCHEDULE THIS WEEK
FROM THE TVHS ADMINISTRATORS
While we are proud of the many positive accomplishments across our campus, we must also take a moment to address some recent concerns. On Friday, we observed disappointing behavior during the lunch period, including a lack of respect for our campus facilities and those who work hard to maintain them. Our lunch areas are shared spaces, and we expect all students to help keep them clean, safe, and welcoming. Behavior such as throwing food, littering, damaging school property, or disrespecting staff will not be tolerated. Consequences may include campus cleanup, detention, suspension, and financial responsibility for any damage caused.
Additionally, an increasing number of students have begun to misuse their 5-Star Bathroom privileges by lingering at lunch table areas and outside restrooms rather than returning to class within the designated pass time. When approached by staff, students are expected to display their 5-Star pass. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action and a loss of these privileges.
As I shared over the last two weeks, we have instituted our tardy gate closures as of last week. We have already been impressed with the decrease in the number of students arriving late in the mornings. As a reminder, we close all perimeter gates immediately after the Period 1 bell. Students who arrive late will be assigned a tardy at either the Margarita or Bldg 1 Attendance gates if they are not on campus by the time the bell rings. As we’ve emphasized, it is essential that Period 1 instruction is treated with the same importance as every other period throughout the day to ensure student success. We truly appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
