Parent Teacher Conferences
You will soon have the opportunity to meet with your student's teacher to learn about their progress for this school year. When sharing progress regarding math, it will be presented slightly differently than in previous years. Bridges in Mathematics is a robust and comprehensive program. It has been developed with distributed learning across the year which means we are not teaching to mastery each unit. Our curriculum is organized around big ideas, which means each unit teaches multiple standards. This helps our students build conceptual understanding and make connections in their mathematical understanding. Data is continuously collected to inform future instruction. While progress is monitored continuously you may notice fewer math grades in the grade book. At this time in the school year, we are not expecting our students to have mastered the standards, but we would like to share their progress towards mastery.
Bridges Unit 2 Family Newsletters
The links below provide families with an overview of the second unit of instruction for this year. There are a total of 8 units for the school year with each unit taking approximately one month for instruction and student learning. We will be providing a family newsletter each month that focuses on each unit of study's resources and school-home connections for Bridges Math.
