End of the Year is Here!

I can't believe that we are only a few weeks to the end of the 23-24 school year. We have had such a great year here at PRMS. Thank you so much for sharing your kiddos with us this year and allowing us to grow your students this year. I have loved getting to know the students so much this year. We do still have a lot of important things to accomplish though before we officially finish out the year. So please look over the newsletter closely for all the important dates and events to finish out the year.

We will have 3 days of Atlas testing next week on May 7-9. These are the state test that all students must take for reading, math, and science. Please make sure that students are in attendance, had a good night's sleep, and a healthy breakfast on these days. We will be starting testing at 8:15 each morning. I have put a few resources below of the parent websites for you to understand what the test is and even some practice test that you can look at.

We will have three fun activities that students will get to enjoy on May 10th if they meet the testing expectations for our testing week. Please see those testing expectations below. If students do not meet these expectations they will not participate in the reward. Students will be able to enjoy a silent disco, movie, and kickball games. PTO will also be handing out popsicles to celebrate finishing testing.

Testing Expectations:

1. Complete all 3 days of testing
2. Don't rush on the test
3. Follow Rules during the test
4. Double Check Your Work
5. Try your best on the test
6. Use Scratch paper during test

Our Middle School teachers work so hard everyday to grow our students in so many ways. We want to thank our teachers to show them how much we appreciate them. You can find teacher's email here. Please try to send an email of appreciation to our amazing teachers to show them just a note to remind them how appreciated they are.

Permission slips will be sent home for 6th grade field trip to Lake Atalanta on May 16th. Please make sure to sign and return before May 13th so your student can attend.

We will have one more Blackhawk Spirit day to celebrate our students and grow together. Students are welcome to represent their house one more time this year with their spirit gear. We will have a great house party to finish out the year. We will begin our day with our Blackhawk Assembly and parents are welcome to attend.

PRMS will have their annual Field Day at the football field on this day. Our students and staff will spend time having fun and playing together to celebrate finishing the year. Parents are only allowed at the event if they are volunteering with PTO. If you would like to help please be on the lookout for their sign up in the next few weeks.

We still have a lot of learning and fun to have this last month, but don't forget that May 24th is the last day of the 23-24 school year.
