PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Boulder Creek Families,
2023-2024 has come to a close, and I want to thank you on behalf of all of us at Boulder Creek for the opportunity to work with your children. Watching your children grow socially, emotionally, and academically and knowing we have a part in that growth is amazingly fulfilling to us educators. It's what brings us back year after year. Maintaining a partnership with our parents ensures your child's success.
So here we are, summertime. It's that time of the year when you are without us for a few months enjoying family and summer fun. Research has shown that learning is lost over the summer months if it's not flexed like a muscle. Even though we won't be with you, we want to help you while you encourage your child to flex their learning muscles over the summer months. Please take a look at some amazing information and resources in this newsletter to painlessly assist you in preventing the "summer slide" and ensuring your child walks into 2024-2025 ready for the challenges of his/her new grade level!
Have a wonderful summer, and we look forward to seeing you all in August!
All my best,
Tina Croes

HAPPY GOODBYES
ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS GRADUATE FROM BC!
Did you know that every assistant principal since Boulder Creek added assistant principals nearly 15 years ago has gone on to become principals of their own school sites? This includes the seven assistant principals who have served with me during my eight years as principal here at Boulder Creek. Although we are sad to see them go, we couldn't be happier to have been a part of their journeys. The experiences Boulder Creek gives them makes them some of the most prepared leaders in the Enterprise Elementary School District and beyond. With that, we wish Mrs. Haedrich and Mr. Vierra all the best as they embark on their new leadership challenges as principals of Alta Mesa School and Parsons Junior High respectively. Stay tuned for our August Bear Facts when we introduce the amazing new members of our administration team!

A Note of Gratitude from Mrs. Haedrich
Dear Boulder Creek Families,
It has been a privilege to be a part of Boulder Creek School for the past nine years serving as both a teacher and an assistant principal. I am writing to share with you some bittersweet news. After much consideration, I have accepted a new role as principal at Alta Mesa School. While I am thrilled for this new chapter in my career, it is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to the wonderful community here at Boulder Creek School. I want to express my deepest appreciation to each and every one of you for your support, collaboration, and dedication over the years. It has been an honor to work alongside such supportive families and exceptional students. I am excited to bring the experiences and lessons I have gained here to my new role at Alta Mesa School, where I am eager to continue making a positive impact on the lives of students. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this incredible community, and I look forward to staying connected as I embark on this new adventure. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and for allowing me to be a part of your children's educational journey. It has been an honor and a privilege.
Sincerely,
Courtney Haedrich
A Note of Gratitude from Mr. Vierra
Dear Boulder Creek Family,
It is with a mixture of excitement and sadness that I share some important news with you. After much reflection and consideration, I have accepted the position of Principal at Parsons Junior High. My time at Boulder Creek has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I joined this wonderful community, I have been welcomed with open arms and have had the privilege of working alongside such dedicated and passionate staff, students, and families. The amazing culture here at Boulder Creek has not only inspired me but has also shaped me into the leader I am today. The collaborative spirit, the unwavering support, and the commitment to excellence are truly remarkable and something I will always carry with me. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each one of you for the invaluable experiences and lessons learned during my year here. Whether it was through daily interactions, collaborative projects, or the many events we celebrated together, each moment has contributed to my growth and development. While I am excited about the new opportunities and challenges that await me at Parsons Junior High, leaving Boulder Creek is bittersweet. This community has quickly become like family to me, and I will always cherish the memories we have created together. I am confident that Boulder Creek will continue to thrive and achieve great things. The strong foundation that has been built will undoubtedly support the continued success and growth of this incredible school. I am eager to see all the wonderful accomplishments that lie ahead for each of you. Thank you once again for your unwavering support, encouragement, and friendship. WHAT IS TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN?
2024-2025 REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW
Welcome to Kindergarten/Transitional Kindergarten (TK) at Boulder Creek!
California has made Transitional Kindergarten (TK) universally available (although not required). The curriculum and approach in TK are designed to bridge the gap between preschool and elementary school, providing an extra year to acquire kindergarten readiness.
Children who turn 4 years old by June 2, 2024 are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK). Note: Students who turn 4 between between June 3rd and September 2, 2024 are considered Early TK (ETK). ETK students may be enrolled in a TK program depending on available space and readiness.
Children who turn 5 years old on or before September 2, 2024 are eligible for Kindergarten.

PARENT PORTAL LOG-IN
All parents, including new parents, should have logged into the Parent Portal at some point already. Why do you need to create a parent account? This is a secure platform through which you will view your child's teacher/class, receive your child’s report card, complete enrollment, and complete the necessary beginning of the year school forms like your child's emergency card. In the future, this is also how state testing results will be communicated.
Click HERE for the link to the parent portal. If you cannot log-in successfully, please call our school's office at 224-4140 or email our Student Services Clerk, Kensey Jones, at kjones@eesd.net. Be sure to keep your log-in information in a safe but accessible place.
