Note From Principal Graham
As we turn the page on another school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the year. Together, we've navigated challenges, celebrated successes, and witnessed incredible growth in our students.
Whether it was volunteering your time, attending school events, or simply providing encouragement at home, your contributions have created a strong foundation for student success. Your dedication to their education is truly inspiring.
As we head into summer break, I encourage you to continue fostering a love of learning within your children. Explore new places, read exciting books, and create opportunities for them to pursue their interests.
On behalf of the entire staff at Oak Grove, I wish you and your families a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break. We look forward to welcoming you back for another exciting year soon!

Happy Summer From Ms. Howell's 1st Grade Class
Who Was Caught This Week?
Our school motto is Be Kind, Work Hard, Be Brave. As students are witnessed showing these qualities, teachers and staff put that student's name in for a weekly drawing. Those students whose names are drawn are announced on the Friday's OGE News Show and then meet with Principal Graham in the office where they are congratulated, have their picture taken for the school newsletter and given a prize. We are always so proud of every student for doing the right thing and showing that they are being kind, working hard and being brave.
Uriel was caught working hard
Sofia was caught being brave and working hard
Jamison was caught working hard
Leah was caught working hard
Ryker was caught working hard
Jace was caught being kind
Mr. Ryals’ 5th grade class continued it’s tradition of kicking off the final week of school by delivering letters to some of their favorite teachers! Each student wrote about some of their favorite memories from their class and some of the ways that teacher impacted them during their time at Oak Grove.
Looking for some fun activities that will keep your child engaged (and learning!) over the summer? We have gathered some great resources all in one place on our OGES Summer Reading Landing Page. You can find information about the summer reading program at the Lexington County Public Library, links to great virtual read aloud sites, links to virtual field trips, and reading lists to help you choose some great books for your child. Find out how to get free pizza and cake every month during the summer just by reading! There are links to fun sites that will get your child's creative juices flowing to make music or draw something cool.
During our final RED Prize Patrol of the school year, we had three people who reached 500 steps!
Congratulations to Maely from Ms. Parks’ and Ms. White’s kindergarten class, Keats from Ms. Falco’s 3rd grade class, and 4th grade teacher Mrs. Rosier!
Maely and Keats have their names on the RED Reading Wall for getting to 50 steps and have received several free books this school year.
Their pictures will be posted on a special spot outside the library for reaching 500 steps
