Message from the Principal
Hello, Bearcats,
We are here to create learning partnerships with students and parents. It's spring, and you know what that means - STAAR. Lamar has a C rating, but we want that B. What does it take to get there? Remember the ABCs
- Academic Achievement - All students must make progress in math and reading.
- Behavior - Reduce the number of students in ISS, suspensions, and alternative school placements. Keep attendance at 95%.
- Culture - High expectations for all.
So what do we need from parents meet our goal?
- Make sure your student attends school every day.
- Set aside time for your student to work in iReady math and/or reading, or Mathia for Algebra students.
- Be positive and highly encouraging!
Please see the staff directory on the Lamar website to email any of your students' teachers. Conduct a weekly check of your child's grades in Skyward and Schoology. Click here to see a video on how you can check your student's progress on different platforms. Thank you for choosing Lamar.
