Our Mission:

Alta Vista Early College High School will provide a small, personalized learning environment, consisting of parents, teachers, and the community, which prepares all students for success. Through a rigorous, relevant curriculum, positive and meaningful relationships, students will be exposed to innovative instructional practices and 21st-century learning. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success in higher education and future fields of work.

Our AVECHS teachers have been hard at work preparing for students with 7 full days of professional development and classroom work time to be ready for student to return!

Our AVECHS Office Staff, Ms. Melanie Beegle and Ms. Monica Rodriguez, and our Custodian, Mr. Jose Luis Jaurequi, have been working all summer getting the campus First Day of School ready!

Dear Parents and Mighty Owl Students!

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year. We are excited to have students back on our campus and classrooms. It is our mission to help every student feel welcomed, connected, and a part of the Mighty Owl Family. Additionally, we strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities and to be college-ready by the end of four years. At AVECHS, we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in learning.

I am honored to serve as the Principal of Alta Vista Early College High School. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.

Es un placer darles la bienvenida a todos nuevamente para otro gran año. Estamos emocionados de tener estudiantes de regreso en nuestro campus y salones. Nuestra misión es ayudar a cada estudiante a sentirse bienvenido, conectado y parte de la familia Mighty Owl. Además, nos esforzamos por desafiar a cada estudiante para que crezca en sus habilidades académicas y esté listo para la universidad al final de los cuatro años. En AVECHS, tenemos excelentes maestros que dedican horas a planificar y crear actividades en el salon para involucrar a nuestros estudiantes en el aprendizaje.

Me siento honrada de servir como Directora de la Escuela Secundaria de Universidad Temprana de Alta Vista. Es verdaderamente un privilegio ser parte de una comunidad donde los padres, maestros y estudiantes se preocupan unos por otros y se esfuerzan por construir relaciones positivas que apoyan el crecimiento académico y social.
