Haverford Police and HHS
I received an inquiry this week about the Police at HHS. Here is some information about the Police.
Police help support the community with traffic flow in the morning before and sometimes after school.
Police walk through the school at least once a week. They check on us and build relationships with the adults and students at HHS.
All administrators at HHS can text, email, or directly call many Police officers and Chief and Deputy Chief at any time day or night.
Our Director of Safety and Security meets with the Police formally at least once a month.
We have Police Officers who receive Safe2Say messages in real-time with our HHS Administrators assigned to Safe2Say.
HHS holds events where Police are present such as Dances or Athletic Events that have large amounts of people.
Haverford Police come to HHS whenever an ambulance or 911 call is made. Also, they come to HHS if our fire alarm rings without the cause being known immediately.
Haverford Police and some of our athletics teams play each other in fun exhibition contests to help foster a sense of community.
Haverford Police completes annual training with our staff on intruder training, lockdown procedures, and other safety measures.
We are very fortunate to have built such a great relationship with our Police who help us with our safety training and procedures at HHS.

BLAST (After-Prom) Information
HHS Parents…Let’s have another BLAST!!
The BLAST is a post-prom party for all our seniors and their guests. All seniors are welcome to come whether they attend the prom or not. What is the BLAST? Well, in short, it’s a safe, but very fun experience for the kids that includes various activities, games, food, great prizes and some amazing decorations! However, don’t take it from me. Watch this short video and hear about the BLAST and its impact from the students themselves.
The BLAST has been around for years, and we want to keep it going for years to come. However, we need the help of all our parents, not just the senior parents! If you’re thinking “I can’t help, I don’t know how to build anything” or “I’m not very creative, what will I do?”, trust me, we have a job for everyone! We have jobs ranging from planning, fundraising and construction to designing, food prep and chaperoning. We could even use some poker and blackjack dealers. We’re always amazed at how incredible everything looks, whether we had experienced decorators or not. In years past, the creativity has really shined through and has blown everyone away! If you’re able to volunteer, please complete the Blast 2025 Volunteers Survey by Friday, October 3rd. Once we have our list of volunteers, we’ll hold an informational meeting at the school to provide additional details. The BLAST will be held on Friday, May 9th, 11:30 PM.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Anthony DeVice at ant0219@comcast.net or 610-209-2543. We hope you will consider helping out! We need all the help we can get! Thank you!
