Greetings, STEAM Family!

As you know, our final week is upon us as we prepare for our district's Winter Break, which will take place February 15th - 20th. Prior to our break, we will continue to keep teaching and learning as top priority at SDE. We are extremely proud of the efforts of our students who participated in the District Science Fair, as well as those of our teachers who have been participating in various professional learning opportunities to sharpen our skillset in order to help us better meet the needs of our young scholars. Actions such as these propel us towards our district's mission to prepare all students to be effective communicators, problem solvers, and lifelong learners.

In preparation of the remaining days, please carefully review the items featured below, specifically those related to our upcoming Love & Basketball Finale and Valentine's Day Procedures. WHO ARE WE???...

Susie Dasher Elementary is "PROUD" to recognize and celebrate Ms. Waukita Wright, our School Counselor for National School Counseling Week. Thank you, Ms. Wright, for your dedicated service and commitment to the students and staff of SDE and Dublin City Schools!

SDE will host our Annual Love & Basketball Game on Tuesday, February 14th at the Dublin High School Auditorium. Tip Off begins at 10:00 am! This year, our game will feature our SDE Imagineers versus Hillcrest Elementary School! Please check out the flyers below for additional details for this fun-filled event.

• ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!

  
  
• Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
  
  
• The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
  
  
• The PRIDE Afterschool Remediation/Enrichment Program takes place on Mondays - Wednesdays from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Snacks and transportation will be provided. For more information regarding the after school program waiting list, please contact the school at (478) 353-8250.
